Castle Inn

Booked this for 1 night, the manger was extremely friendly. Down side was website said there was a hot tub which when we arrived there was not. Ended up paying more than what we were supposed to. No email, No invoice. Restaurant was not open and again said there was a restaurant on site but it was closed. Not much to do in this area.

I had stayed at the Castle Inn a few years ago and had a great experience, I sensed a change. Upon booking, I was informed that there was only one room available-a suite. I was looking for a basic room but that was okay as I wanted to be in the area. Upon arrival I had to pay upfront and was presented with a tip option (for services not yet experienced). I was also informed that the Inn is also being used as a school for disadvantaged youth to learn culinary and agricultural skills to re-enter the workforce and the dining room was not open. The manager is very friendly and hospitable.Later in the evening I came to realize there was only one other possible hotel guest vehicle in the parking lot, and I believe that the rooms were being occupied by the students, manager, and owner, which is fine but did not line up with the explanation that only one room was available as there was a company there for a work conference. I also found out the lock to the exterior door to the pool area was broken-anyone can walk inn, there are doors from the pool to the interior of the inn that locked at least. The pool is lovely, clean and warm.If the intention is to operate a school from the premises then, the location needs to stop being promoted as an inn; removed from travel brochures, vacation sites, local ads, and website updated.While the facility could be used as an inn, supporting the educational programs by incorporating the practices to provide a wonderful customer experience, the customer experience, that one would expect staying in such a facility is just not there. This felt like an expensive place to crash.

We were warmly welcomed by the manager Karen. We were the only guests after a busy weekend and had the whole hotel to ourselves. Spa was very nice and the room was perfect. Jacuzzi tub in the room and a fireplace. We will be back in the summer for sure to experience it again. Very good value and we will recommend it to friends who are travelling or want a weekend away.

Booked the Balmoral room over the phone months ago at $189 per night and once we arrived they had us booked in the Victorian suite at $259 per night. Manager said there’s no way we booked another room because the rest of the rooms were booked, although I know I did not book one of the most expensive rooms at the Inn. I specifically remember her suggesting the Victorian suite over the phone and I to told her we couldn’t afford that. No confirmation email to show the room we booked so we were stuck paying $597 for 2 nights. They absolutely need to open the restaurant again as there is hardly anything in Perth Andover. Really not much accommodation to go with the price of this room. It was a beautiful room and the pool was nice but literally no other benefit to staying here. I’d never go back due to the mix up in rooms.

We had the opportunity to stay at the Castle Inn this weekend and it was a great experience. We stayed in a huge room with a luxurious king sized bed. It was super comfy. Our room had a Jacuzzi tub for two, and a cozy e- fireplace, which was an amazing treat! Our room was sparkling clean. We loved it!! The pool and steam room were also great! Very modern and clean. Our hostess Karen was very sweet and took a lot of time to make our first stay there feel special. We had a nice evening sitting by the beautiful fire place downstairs chatting and having a special snack!! I can't say enough good things about this place! We can't wait to go back. I am staying in the turret!!! next time ;)

Fantastic inn located in Perth Andover. The manager Karen was great - calling me in advance to time for my arrival, had a few pointers on where to grab a bite to eat, and overall warm and welcoming. Looking forward to my next stay in this historic property.

It is a cute place with great potential but lacking in a few ways. There was nothing showing what amenities were available or where we were and weren't allowed to go on the property. The website was also unhelpful in this regard. There was also nothing saying what there was to do, see, or eat locally.On the positive side: the location was lovely and the staff were really great! The room was nice and clean and ready for our arrival.I understand that they recently came under new ownership, and I hope that the new owner can really make this a great destination.

Stayed about a year ago with my fiancé. Beautiful spot! Great location and great surroundings.Karen was an absolute delight and took the best of care of us. 10 out of 10 would go back. Probably will be shortly.

Second time staying here, absolutely love it. It has a home and personal feel to it. The architecture and stories are what keeps us coming back..... and of course the amazing staff.
