This is a solemn monument, in a pretty location, just off the ocean, near Peggy’s Cove. The monument is to memorialize the victims of an Air France flight that crashed just off the coast many years ago.

A very beautiful natural setting for such a simple yet touching memorial for all the lives lost in a horrific and sad tragedy. I was simply passing by and we pulled in to check it out. Very nice little walkway towards the memorial. Such a memorable spot to have just wondered upon on our trip along the coast.

SR 111 Peggy's Cove Memorial
Absolutely loved visiting this memorial. Definitely a must see if you're coming to Peggy's Cove. This memorial is for all the lives lost in the Swiss Air plane crash of 1998. The memorial could not be in a more beautiful and serene spot to remember the tragic and traumatic event. I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful walkway leading up to the memorial and the scenic ocean views from the memorial.

Great place to walk and look at the mighty ocean. The gras may be slippery with water, so better to stay on or near the rocks. Great view on sunny day!

This is an impressive memorial. The natural setting of this site with large boulders resting on the surface everywhere makes it very peaceful & impactful. The ocean rages on as does time.

As a pilot, I am sad that so many lost their lives. After review of this accident and Air Policy, the rules were changed, and many more lives may have been saved as a result.

Great memorial for those who died. I was surprised that they brought in rock rather than shaping what was naturally there.
