Computer Service Depot

I previously wrote a review that the service people are excellent. The attitude of the business evident during my last issues have changed so i removed my positive review. I understand that it may be frustrating to deal with a customer with no computer knowledge - but that is likely a routine part of their job. On the last occasion the owner called me to say my thinkpad touchscreen was just dirty but they had to completely replace it anyways under the lenova warranty. I couldn't see why but if that is policy (and real waste of lenova money and service time) - so be it.He wanted to make sure that i had backed up my machine, which i thought was prudent of him and thanked him. I said i did not as i was unclear on how to do this. He was very annoyed and stated that he would back it up as a favour but he was not supposed to. He tone was extremely unpleasant.So today when i opened my computer the office word and outlook programs I had purchased via a licence were removed as were other programs. When i called about the back up, he was exremely rude stating as i told you... you were to back it up."He would not assist in any way saying his job was warranty issues only and that I had to have the office licence key. I no longer have them and asked him to reinstate. He said not possible. Now i have a thinkpad that actually did not need any service but a cleaning that has been wiped so i can no longer use unless I join a subsciption service 365 for office. Not at all happy about this experience."

SCAM. Ordered a defective laptop through them via Best Buy Marketplace. Laptop arrived and won't boot. When I contacted them, they said I can't return it without incurring a 10% restocking fee, which in this case would be over $300. Manager Adam was extremely rude, terrible customer service, and took absolutely zero responsibility for sending me a defective product. I feel absolutely scammed. CS Depot, if you even read this - make it right. Give me a full refund or exchange and I'll take this review down.

The customer service is awesome. This is how everybody should treat their clients.They are fast and reliable trying to help and give you the right technical support. Also the prices are great.I recommend them from all my heart. I am sow happy cause I found them here in Waterloo.If you want to buy anything that's related to a computer (desktops, laptops, tablets you name it) you can find it here. Even if they don't have it right away - they can bring that device for you.I had very bad experience with other big stores like Canada Computers witch they hire students and they don't have a clue about computers. Also they don't have a phone number where you can call or email and you will end up talking with robots or receive no reply emails. They put thousands of products on they website but they don't have it on stock.Thank you TONY for the great customer service!

The CSD team was unbelievably professional and transparent with me when I visited to purchase a laptop. They accommodated my needs generously and provided me with insight without bias. Highly recommend for both Mac and PC purchases. Super happy with my experience with Tony and Adam.

The best computer repair shop I've used. Adam helped me resolve my issue. Very professional and a true gentleman. I live in Hamilton, and I make the drive to these guys because of their level of service. Very quick service and excellent pricing. Keep up the good work!

bought my lenovo X1 carbon gen 9 on best buy online. computer depot was the seller. computer depot was very responsive to my question about when the laptop was going to be shipped. i was worried that it would take weeks or months because of the supply delay due to covid. i asked the question via best buy online, they got back to me by phone almost immediately! i was impressed. despite covid and the snow storm in ontario, my laptop arrived in 4 business days! the laptop was well set up and everything has been working fine so far. i will definitely make purchases again from computer depot.

Recently purchased a new desk top from CSD. Its a great desk top and thanks to the staff its exactly what I asked for. I dealt with several people including the owner. I was treated with respect and appreciation and an old fashion customer service mentality which is rare these days!Also, they never even tried to up sell" me on anything. I got exactly what I wanted."

This “company” is a bunch of CON ARTISTS AND SCAMMERS, plain and simple. I bought a Lenovo laptop in early 2020 with a 3 year warranty from them that costed me over $1,000 at the time. It was made in such a flimsy way (thinnest plastic) that in 4 month, the plastic near the mousepad cracked. They replaced the part in Sept 2020 with me waiting for over a month for the service in the first place.Fast forward to June 2022, a number of keys on a keyboard began to malfunction and either completely give up when typing, or extra duplicate letters would appear when you would only type one. Called them about it, explaining the issue, and saying I got a 3 year warranty still in effect. First, their employee laughed when I explained it, saying it’s not part of their warranty , secondly their manager Adam, who was extremely rude, arrogant and indifferent, confirmed that it is my fault that keyboard broke, etc. I explained that I use the laptop normally, having it sitting on a table most of times. Adam was still feeling indifferent to my request to repair the laptop, so I said “Are you giving up on fixing it, even though it is still under warranty? ” He cheerfully confirmed “Yes, correct”.To sum it up, I was quoted between $300 to $800 by laptop repair stores to repair something that should still be repaired for free as part of the warranty.So, thank you very much scammers, for your “wonderful product, service, and amazing customer service” !If you’d like to improve your already stained reputation , try reach out to me, and repair the laptop.Otherwise, I advise everyone to stay away from buying anything from them !*(And yes, I’m a real person just in case you’ll try to delete this review, saying it’s fake).

Terrible market place seller. I ran into issues with purchasing their product through Bestbuy after days on the phone with best buy and being advised to report Computer Depot as fraud to my visa their computer arrives out of nowhere. After trying to resolve the issue and to give them the computer back (already got my money back from visa due to the shady transaction) they weren’t able to understand the issue and blamed me for their lack of management.They took zero responsibility for their terrible mistake and the level of interaction is beyond acceptable. Horrible customer service with zero responsibility and integrity. The store manager, Adam, is beyond unhelpful and did not understand a thing about the issue per his report back to bestbuy - just total nonesense.

This computer store provides phenomenal service! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the owner exceedingly cheerful and eager to ensure customer satisfaction. If you want to purchase computer-related products, or acquire repair service for your laptop, this is definitely THE place to come, even if you do not live in Waterloo! They are fair in pricing, honest in assessment, and very, very efficient in operations. You won't be disappointed! I certainly was not: Computer Service Depot repaired my laptop last week with care, precision, and a smile. I am extremely pleased and intend to remain a permanent customer!
