We went during happy hour..drinks were okay. The chicken wings and seafood cake was really nice. The ravioli had a bit of a bitter aftertaste and our dish was kindly replaced but unfortunately they forgot about the replacement order and after waiting for ages, we politely asked for our bill. The bill given to us was incorrect. Though there were a few hiccups during the meal and service, the server and management were very apologetic and made amends by reducing our bill for the inconvenience which I really appreciated! I would go again ..

Unforgettable experience if you are on the patio with a view of the historic steam clock. Incredible wine list with plenty of local selections, delicious appetizers, and abundant variety of main course options. The service was phenomenal, our server was adorable, sharing stories of the neighborhood and the deep meaning of her rad tattoos. Another server bumped her on accident and didn't apologize, but she just smiled and said, just wait until this bump gets bigger, he'll have to wait for me to move. Absolutely adorable. Our new favorite restaurant in Vancouver!

Find out if Czarina is available & ask to be seated in her section if she is. A wonderful, kind, attentive person that will make you feel welcome! The food is delicious & reasonably priced. The location is quite atmospheric and all of the staff are great!

Haven't been back in years but glad I did! The sable fish (surf and surf) was delicious!! The Water St. Platter was quite large and impressive but was just normal in taste. My Hot Toddy was oddly sour as well...I liked that there's dividers between most tables, it gave us more privacy because we couldn't hear the other table next to us, but didn't like that they don't scan the vaccine QR code and accepted the paper vaccine card...

Gastown area has its charm and this corner cafe add more to the whole experience. After enjoying my stroll, I stopped at this cafe to enjoy lunch and again to enjoy dinner with live musicFood is superb . Just try anything and it will be perfect in taste , quality and quantity. I am not a fan of gnoshi but they did good job in cooking it. Pesto salad was great. Best were the desertsSeated by window gives you view of the street but makes it awkward to eat as every passerby is watching you eat. But overall a good romantic meal can be enjoyed here

So happy we chose Water St. Cafe for dinner tonight. The incredible live jazz trio upstairs set the perfect ambiance for a delicious meal. Sitting just across from the steam clock, it is a great choice if you are looking for a great meal. The berry salad was fresh and tasty, the pesto gnocchi was home-made deliciousness with big pieces of pine nuts, and the chicken parmigiana had just a touch of sauce. And the garlic cheese bread was so good, we ordered a second order. Highly recommended.

The service was good, but they seemed short staffed like every restaurant. Ordered the burger and it was good, but could benefit from being hotter when it comes from the kitchen. Also the restaurant is cold as they only have single paned windows, but it is cozy and would recommend it.

We came here with first table meaning that the bill was 50% off. The food was alright. Everything we ate, I felt was overly salted. I think the meal was very worth at the 50% off, but I would probably not be back at full price. Servers were nice, but service was minimal, my water glass stayed empty far too long. We had a great view of the steamed clock, and people watching was fun.Steamed BC Clams 3.5/5The clams were nice and flavourful and had a very meaty bite. But when I went to dip the focaccia bread in the beautiful sauce, I was met with a mouthful of salt. Truly disappointing because I was really looking forward to the sauce soaked bite of the bread.Garlic Bread 3/5Came out cold, which was disappointing. And again, this dish was too heavily seasoned.Pappardelle with Meatballs 3/5The noodles were nice and bouncy. The sauce was very flavourful, however, the meatball tasted like meatloaf in ball form. Not very juicy at all.Seafood Gnocchi 4/5Hefty amount of seafood. The gnocchi were pillowy. The flavours were amazing with the touch of dill. My only complaint is that the sauce was once again overly salty.Tiramisu 2.5/5I thought there were too much cream and not enough lady fingers. And the lady fingers were soaked too much. My last bite had a bitter aftertaste. The berries added a nice change to texture.
