Excellent service from our waitress. The food was excellent, full of flavour! Drinks were also very good, margaritas were amazing. Was a bit pricey.Recommended, will return for sure!

Service was quick, seated on the patio which is quite nice on a summer day.My reason for the 2 stars are:1. When we ordered, although it was quick to be received, there were multiple servers asking if we ordered an item that was meant for other tables. I also noticed when my drink was ready, it was being brought to another table and then rerouted to ours. It just seemed like a lack of communication2. I’m ok paying the price for quality items but the tacos we ordered where small for the price and the pork tacos I had ordered didn’t have any sauce which made them very dry. There was pineapple in them but that didn’t resolve the lack of moisture.The guacamole was not horrible but I did feel like it could use some more flavour.Other than the minor issues, the aesthetic of the location was nice and I can imagine it looks better at night with the lights. Try it out and prove my review wrong, will have to try it out again in hope for better experience

Problem from the moment we walked in. The hostess greeted saying the place was fully booked when it was half empty the entire night. They gave us a table at the entrance which we were able to move to the bar since there were so much space. We ordered two spicy margaritas for which they tempted to charge us +50$ for both drinks, the food was mediocre compared to other Escondite locations. I cant find anything positive from this place. We also felt like this place is a tourist trap in Old port and the charm of the resto was non existent compared to other Escondites. I would not recommend.

The food taste good but if you are starving you need more than one dish and if you are looking fo Mexican flavor this one is more fusion MexicanThe service at least the day I went, Monday 2 pm was super slow, I wait around 10 minutes at the door to sit down, there were table available. It was super hot inside my table didn't have a fan up. However, the girl was kind the cocktail I ordered was not too sweet it has a good balance. You can go with kids but the only had a 1 high chair so ask before just in case

DO. NOT. GO. I'm guessing this is aimed at tourists who don't speak French, but our waiter DOUBLED everything we ordered. Started with a mojito my son and his girlfriend wanted to share, she brought 2. We sent one back.We ordered the guac, 2 came. We thought they were being considerate and separated 1 into 2 to make it easier for all at the table, until wE got the bill.We all also ordered tacos. Menu describes them as 2 tacos for $10. When we selected the two we wanted, for instance fish and steak, what should have been a total of 10 tacos turned into 20 tacos arriving at our table.For various reasons, most notably we were already starving, and the language barrier, I didn't complain to have the lot removed to wait again for the right amount to show up.Anyway, all I can say is if you don't speak French, go to a more trustworthy Mexican place.

Based on two visits from out of town:Cozy, atmospheric Mexican bar with a small but hip contemporary Mexican fusion menu and drinks. The staff were all friendly and service was reasonable. The space offers outdoor seating as well. The atmosphere may not be for everyone. Would visit again.Did visit again around 3pm and place was relatively empty. Food was still good.

Stopped here for a quick bite on a Saturday evening. We got lucky getting seated without a reservation and service was very fast. We got the tuna tostada and Baja tacos. Also got the pineapple jarritos which was delicious. Between our two plates, the tuna tostada tasted more impressive with the mix of interesting flavours!

This place has nice ambiance and server was great. Went without a reservation but luckily got a table. Ordered quite a few items all tasted great just the tortillas were below average and didn't seem fresh but other than that everything was perfect. Definitely check this out when you're around!!

AMAZING food. The gyoza nachos are to die for (don't judge them by their name) and the tacos are super delicious. Exceptional service by Carla. The ambience is also super cool and fun -eccentric decor!

great food and ambiance! the drinks are pretty strong, so you get your money's worth. servers are very pleasant and the food comes out quick ; I was surprised by how flavorful it all was.
