Kicking Mule Riding Stable & Cookhouse

What a fabulous time. Not a typical trail that is boring, this one takes you through real nature where you see so much and learn even more! Doug was a great lead on our adventure. The ranch next door was a perfect place to stay if you don't mind roughing it a bit.

Amazing place to enjoy a ride on horse and a petting zoo to attract kids towards peacocks, rabbits, rainbow bird and ponies. They have a lot of horses and place is great to hangout for sometime. It was our first place to visit on Manitoulin and worth a shot.

This is one of the best places to go horseback riding. They have beautiful trails, amazing horses, and they are very friendly. One of the best experiences I have had with my family.

The cabins and teepees are very cute. The outdoor kitchen had everything you would need to cook a meal. However I found the campground way too crowded. There was barely any room between buildings. It definitely takes away from the wilderness experience.

Friendly staff, gorgeous horses, a beautiful trail ride, good conversation….they made us feel very comfortable & welcomed. Can’t wait to go back & checkout the food & overnight adventure option!

We had a great experience. Doug was really welcoming and gave us clear instructions. The ranch was really charming and the trail was really well maintained. You could see that they are really passionate about what they do and care a lot about their horses!

What a fantastic afternoon at Kicking Mule! We had a beautiful hour trail ride with Doug and his well behaved horses. Three generations of our family were entertained and enthusiastically enjoyed our first horse back ride ever! Thanks for making it safe and fun! See you next summer!

Our kids loved it here especially petting the bunnies. Nice petting farm. Also our 7 yo had a pony ride and older kid had horse back riding for 1 hr and both enjoyed the experience.The staff were also very friendly and nice and we enjoyed their company. We also had the burgers, and chicken and the food was tasty.Last year we visited this farm but this year we thought they were closed, however they explained that they are not associated with the other other place with accommodations and they are open 7 days a week 9-5pm. I think now they are trying to list their business so it shows up separately form the Kicking Mule Accommodations.Our kids can’t wait to come back to this nice farm. We ended up coming back 3 times and on our last day Doug set up the wagon ride for the whole family and toured the entire property which was very fun and exciting. We really liked that this farm and the people had the place had authentic feel.Would definitely recommend this place.

Absolutely amazing experience! They made my family and I feel so comfortable. We loved the horseback and the petting zoo, the guide gave us a full detailed overview of everything. You’d be dumb to visit the city but not go here!!
