Stopped in with my tow truck on trip from Chetwynd BC to Wynndel and then Elko. Met a couple who renewed my faith in humanity! The lady looked up when the last ferry from Balfor was and her bf bumped me ahead of him in line and gave me his order of poutin. The people of Kaslo are amazingly nice as I know of one other from there going to be a Dr.. And the poutin was amazing! It was so good that I'm sad I didn't have time to have a burger and shake. I will return some day! But not threw highway 31!

After a very long drive, we arrived 5 minutes before closing time, not knowing or expecting to be served given the time ( totally understandable ) thankfully the lovely man working stayed late to cook us some AMAZING poutine and a mushroom burger. I can honestly say it’s the best poutine I’ve ever had and the mushroom burger was out standing. We are so grateful, everything else had closed and there’s not much else around for an hour or so.Besides the amazing food and kindness, the shop was really cute, I loved the fall decor. The meat pies looked amazing! My mouth was watering just looking at them.

We just had the most amazing roadside dining experience in Canada! Chez surge is the absolute man! he is a poutine enthusiast (I ordered the smoked meat poutine) and one the friendliest guys ever. he also has some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had (we got the haddock). After the unexpected/ amazing meal while passing through the small town of Kaslo , I topped it with one of the best coffee milkshakes I’ve ever had.

Decent poutine. Prices are steep. Takeout only. Neat poutine flavors. Ok size of poutine for price. Will stop here again. Slightly cheap on the cheese curds. Likely cost cutting and the massive inflation of Canada. Hope they don't put any less curds on otherwise it'll be fries and gravy.

This place had some of the best poutine and fish & chips in the area. I was really surprised at the quality of the food from such a small town. I would definitely come back if I had the chance.

Checked it out based on recommendations and was quite delicious. We got the family size specialty poutine with mushroom, pepper and onion. The toppings, gravy and cheese curds were quite generous. A little pricey.. $23, and I still could have kept eating. More French fries would have brought it up to 5 stars. Still worth trying once.

A one of a kind place for all kinds of poutine. Montreal smoked meat, pulled pork and bacon with green onion (our favorite) are just some of the unbelievable poutines on the menu. It was worth the drive from California.

Ordered the Fish and Chips(Haddock 3 pieces) for my husband and I to split and we couldn't be more pleased! The fish had the perfect crispy fry on them, the tartar sauce was perfect and the fries were delicious. Would stop here again. Make it a point to swing by if you're driving through the area!
