Restaurant Lanterne
Great food but the service was terrible. We had a reservation for 9 people and they gave us 2 round tables. Between the entrees and the main dish, we had to wait 40 minutes. The bus boy dropped plum sauce on my wife's dress while removing the dirty dishes. We had mentionned that we had tickets for a show and needed to get out quickly. Even after the request, it took another 35 minutes to get our dessert and bills. We missed the show due to the staff's lack of concern. I was not at all impressed with the poor service.

Really, really expensive for the amount of food you get on your plate. Two of us paid about 70 dollars and the amount of food on the plate was minimal. The only Asian restaurant I’ve been to where they cheap out on the amount of rice they give you, I literally got the smallest tiniest cup/bowl of rice with my chicken stir fry. The food was good though it wasn’t bad tasting, it’s just not worth paying that much money for what you get. The service was excellent though our server was very attentive.

While we looked for this restaurant details in internet , we found a coupon on line for a special promotion . The website would state “show this to your waiter”, but when we did the waitress explained a paper version was needed . After further explanation and talking ,she talked to the manager and finally we got the promotion price. She was great in helping, but the manager seamed upset.It’s uncomfortable to have to discuss these things, if the restaurant offers promotions, customers should not need to make a point to get them. If so, just stop adding specials or clearly advise the requirements.Other than this, service was good and food was fair, but with this experience ,honestly, I just can go to another Asian place and have the same or better food for a comparable price.

Completely different than what it was beforeThey doubled the price on everything..they reduced the quality and quantity by 40 % at leastThere was no air conditioning so it was hot..service is bland and judgemental...when I say reduced quality I mean they even add water to the soya sauce a complete change from what made la lanterne a must. My patronage has come to an end after going there for years I feel let down and disappointed does not do justice to what feel...don't waste yr money ...

Great restaurant located in the old Longueuil. Nice asian decor. Staffs are friendly. Services are fast. We got our food very fast. Huge quantity of food. We did not expect that much food. We all ordered sushi. Very good. I only give 4 stars instead of 5 because i did not like the dessert. It was fried pineapple. And the pineapple did not taste anything.

The food at this place was absolutely delicious and fresh. I had wonton soup that used great quality ingredients and was made with passion, if the soup tastes great already you can tell how great the food will taste. I had assorted hosomaki, futomaki and nigiri. Overall food was great the only problem was the service, waitress wasn’t around often but we were understating since we can tell she was new, but food took too long to come but soup arrived hot and sushi plate came fresh.

Went to a birthday dinner. We were 18 people and had a menu with several choices. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The best General Tao ever since they prepared it as a whole chicken breast rather than pieces. Original and delicious. The soup was full of flavor. Service Ttentive and prof. I am looking forward to going back with a smaller table to see what they can do.

Really amazing food. I would go back with if I had the chance. We were a group of 10 and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Really impressed with the menu and the way the food tasted
