You can't tell how great a place is (or isn't) until you have an issue with a purchace and need to deal with service rather than sales. That said, these guys hit it out of the park, dealt with my issue in a professional and friendly manner and I walked away with everything I needed. Great staff. Thanks

Staff was great, Max was really helpful. Some of the stools feel like they're gonna fall apart any second and me and the guitars will hit the floor lol. Lots of cool stuff there though

Re writing my review, as this store is awesome. Had an issue with an amp, they helped me out and got me set up to play again! This store is very personal and friendly, there staff take the time to get to know you and help you out. I will continue to shop at this location specifically, awesome service. Can’t recommend them enough to people who are looking to get guitar gear, special shout-out to Darcy and gord!!!!

I used to work at the Long & MacQuade downtown about 20 years ago. It was a good shop then and it's a good shop now! Rental prices are very reasonable and the selection of gear to try out is vast. I frequent all the L&M locations in Edmonton, but the Mayfield location is my favourite cause of the great staff, especially in the rental department, they're very knowledgable and eager to help! Plus they make good jokes from time to time. My first stop when I'm in need of gear is Mayfield L&M.

Walked in to the store with the intent to buy a couple of things that with some research would have cost a couple hundred dollars of the store had them. I wouldn't know if the store had them because I wandered the store for 10+ minutes without a single staff member even acknowledging I was there. I saw two staff members doing nothing but chatting with each other. I didn't even get a glance. Walked out and decided to spend my money somewhere else.
