Halfway Hot Springs

Great place to hang out and soak in natural hot springs. Little hike included, after a half an hour on a logging road. Totally rewarding! We come here at least twice a year. Once around April when the snow is about to go and once in October after the first snowfall! You can meet people from all over the world there and it’s so worth the drive.

Bit tricky to get to in winter months. Either hike in or do as we did and bring ones snowmobile.Also if going in the winter bring a good pair of ice cleats as getting down from the parking area can be very slippery.Wonderful place to visit during the winter months as there is generally way less people.

Wonderful natural spa among cedar trees, by the river. Relax I the natural mineral water hot pools then plunge into the arctic cold River water. Highly recommended experience. A 20 min drive from the highway down a bumpy gravel road, then a hike down into the gorge to the hot springs. All worth it. We visited in October, on a week day, not very busy

Was definitely worth the drive!! Took us 60 minutes to get up there bc we were pulling a 10 foot trailer, lots of pot holes!

Awesome!Some things to note:- we visited during snowy conditions- deffinetly an intense hike down and up! Wear appropriate foot wear... I highly recommend cleats... There were quite a few ice patches on the trail- as for the drive to/from... Pot hole haven! Good ride height and AWD recommended.- I can see this being a hot spot for parties, so go in with that expectation, particularly on weekends. We got there about an hour before dusk. It was busy to begin with, but cleared out as it got darker... Likely because the hike and roads are not favourable at night. A head lamp would have been nice as well.

These are some of the better hot springs around. Lots of different pools that are nicely spaced out. Keeps it from feeling crowded.The pathway in is well maintained and there is changerooms and outhouses right at the springs.The road in was freshly graded when I went on July 9th, 2021.

Loved this hot spring. About a 5 min hike down from the parking lot. Easily done in flip flops. They have a beautifully constructed changing room. 2 pools that were made from stone then a couple smaller ones near the river. Road in is 11km and in good condition. A couple pot holes but a car can make it. Camp site looked nice from a far. Lots of people camping in the lot. And people selling pine and lobster mushrooms

I highly recommend stopping there, it is well taken care of and absolutely breath taking. There is a 11km drive in on a dirt road and a steep hike down and back up.
