I took the welder fitter program at ITT in 2021. I had never done any welding before but found myself I looking for a career change and decided to try out welding. The program was excellent. Fast forward 2 years and I’m loving my new career, and dabbling in the metal art world. Thank you ITT for providing me with the skills required for my new career. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner.

awesome school! i came in not knowing one thing about welding and now i am on route to a new career that i never thought i'd be doing. mark and joey are great intructors! highly recommend this school if you want to get into welding as a career!

ITT changed my life from the day I started attending, the staff are incredibly approachable and equipped with the experience and knowledge needed to teach others to become a great welder. The instructors are amazing and patient to all walks of life, situations and experience levels that come through their door. Take it from me this is the best welding school you can attend and anyone who says they did not get anywhere after graduation in my opinion did not push hard enough to succeed. I am currently employed by Ontario Power Generation and this wouldn't have been possible without ITT

This is a Great school for those who wish to start a new career. I attended the 8 month CNC operating program and I had a very positive experience. The instructor, Dev, is an excellent teacher whose lessons are very clear and informative.At the end, before I had finished the program, I had already gotten a great job with a very good company. Thanks ITT!!!

Overall I could not of asked for a better experience with ITT. When I was in the program I received a great education, more certifications and a better understanding of the trade compared to my friend who is currently enrolled in a college program. I always compare what he is learning and the time he is wasting there while I am already working in the field marking some real money. Hard work and action is the foundation for success and ITT helps you every step of the way. I miss the staff and I am thankful for everything. Cheers!

If you want to learn to weld and start a career then this is the place to go. I went in knowing nothing at all about welding and left confident in my skills learned here. They also helped me get a job and get my foot in the door at a shop. Taimor and Jaff are great teachers and care about the success of their students. I would recommend General Welding 100%.

paid reviews this place deserves 1 star nobody should consider these guys. what a joke. we can't touch the cnc machine even though we paid for it. we can't learn set up can't change vise because of the afternoon guy doesn't want to work? what? they have a weld shop but they don't have steel or material for cutting. nothing is up to date; cutters are older than all the personnel combined. save yourself go work for a weld shop for minimum wage or whatever you have to do but get paid and learn machining there.and almost forgotthe college claims that you can START a job as welder at $30 or work as a machinist at $50 an hourthey ARE OUT OF TOUCH with reality and the real world just do a indeed search or call around$50 a day is more like with the amount of experience you'll gain here and the diploma !(private college which is not accredited college in ontario)

Dear students and followers of ITTI am proud to announce that I have completed my Responsibility as a welding instructor with ITT, this is the time to move on,Of course money is very important, and ITT paid me enough to live with, but for me it was more than that. Five great reasons that make this school the best around, and none of the reasons are to do specifically with welding, but more with how the school is run, and other schools (colleges, universities, etc.) ARE NOT. First, you pay as you go. Second, you can have a trial before you start. Third, the hours can be 10 to 3 (bankers hours). Fourth, and my favourite, you can start ANY Monday. (Imagine deciding you want to go back to school in November, and then waiting ten months until the following September !! Everybody just accepts September, but it's really just lousy service from the other schools. It only benefits them - not the student.) Fifth, when you're finished, employers leave messages on your phone that they want you for full time work. I've sent two of my kids there, and I'm thinking about sending a third. FANTASTIC SCHOOL !!!

I recently completed the 8 month course at ITT. My overall experience was great. Just wished I welded more than cwb plates but I understand. The instructors are great Taimor is extremely helpful. He connects with all his students and really enjoys passing on his knowledge. I am thankful that he was there when I attended. Taimor even helped me find a job.
