I bought a winter coat that too short in the sleeves. Helen told me no problem she would extend the sleeves. Well I picked it up today, earlier than expected and it is perfect!! Very professionally done and reasonably priced. Other friends have mentioned Magic Stitch and Tailoring and how great their service is. I highly recommend them for all sewing needs.

I very pleased with the excellent sewing Helen did on an irregular shaped accent table top protective cover. The end result of this custom work was most satisfactory and performed with professional skill. We went to see Huyen (Helen) at Magic Stitch & Tailor for alterations for my wedding dress and for my mom’s dress as well, after a friend recommended them to me. Huyen was fantastic and did such a great job!! She was friendly, timely, and personable and really made both of us feel so comfortable in her presence. She went out of her way to suggest that I didn’t need any major alterations as my dress still fit reasonably well off the rack – which ended up saving me a lot of money while still looking great! She made some minor adjustments by fixing a tear, shortening some ribbon, and then adding a few options for me to gather up my dress in three different ways for dancing later in the evening. All adjustments stayed easily in place and I had no issues throughout my day. My dress looked beautiful, and my mom was very pleased with the alterations on her dress as well. Thank you so much to Huyen and Magic Stitch & Tailor!! Would highly recommend!!

I rarely give reviews but I am compelled to after the amazing job that Helen did hemming my pants. As a short girl I have had to have so many pairs of pants hemmed and Helen did by far the best work I have ever encountered. Her skills and craftsmanship are top-notch and it is obvious that she takes pride in her work.

I picked up a dress today at Magic Stitich And Tailor that I had altered for a wedding. It is absolutely perfect. I am super happy. It was so well done!!! My husband and I both have had alterations done by Helen over the years when we lived in Kanata. Now we live out of town and drive 30 minutes to have Helen, as she is our favorite seamstress. We are thrilled and impressed with the professional quality of her work. She is friendly, personable, has a sense of humor and is prompt. She truly cares about her customers. Helen definitely has the magic touch. Helen is an exceptional seamstress. A skilled and knowledgeable seamstress such as Helen is increasingly rare to find. Service is top notch. I highly recommend Helen and would have give her ten stars if I could.

High quality cleaning and alterations.Cleanings are well packaged with quality hangers. Pet hair fully removed (my washer and dryer can’t remove everything so I’m always surprised). If you need alterations, pre cleaning is required due to pet allergies of the staff.The alterations, while pricey, are always well done. The owner also makes great recommendations based on the outfit and my body type to get the most flattering fit.Well worth the price - it’s the only place I trust for quality!

Love this place! They did a great job hemming my dress for my friend's wedding with minimal notice. Turned out great and upon pick up they even did some last minute fix to something I hadn't noticed until then for no extra charge.Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for alterations on formal wear :)

Helen did an amazing job on my wedding dress.Everyone was impressed with her handiwork, especially our photographer. Anyone who saw the dress before Helen tailored it would be shocked to see the difference she made.She tailored it to fix the cathedral tail and fix the somewhat see through front chest part. The front length was perfect. She added sturdy straps and hooks for me to hold the dress.She answers texts very fast and I saw her maybe 5 or 6 times for my wedding dress and Chinese evening gown.She’s my go-to tailor from now on.
