I don't even have the words for how amazing this hidden gem is. From the moment we walked in to us leaving, it just kept getting better!Richard is the absolute best!The food... OHH MY GOD! Their meat is to die for!Canada's BIGGEST indoor smoker.The drinks! Those will be my one & only from now on!Free sweater!The only downside was the blue haired waitress needs to learn manners! There was multiple times she treated us with a rude attitude.We won't let 1 person wreck this review tho!We LOVE Richard and whoever makes those drinks!!We will definitely be back and have already bragged to all our friends about you!

The burgers here were fantastic, and the serving staff is very attentive, and friendly, parking is available, and a variety of drink specials throughout the week.Great selection of beers, and ciders, tried a flight and unfortunately wasn’t fond of any of them, but enjoyed an IPA in the end.Burgers are FANTASTIC, lots of flavour, and massive portion sizes, I tried the Bison burger.Will definitely be back to try some of the other burgers.

Absolutely Amazing!My fiancé and I are from the States (New Mexico) and we came to Calgary for a couple days before we head to Banff. We just got here from the airport and we’re super hungry and we love breweries.We randomly found Prairie Dog because we search for pretzels and cheese. The place is huge; it’s so spacious! We sat at the bar.I like sours and Mark, the bartender, recommended the… jumping something and how I could do a flight with the variety of flavors (citrus mango, strawberry, and Saskatoon - left to right in the photo) and lemme just say they’re the BEST sours I’ve ever had.We ordered their pretzel bites with cheese, which were just okay, and lacking a little salt and maybe a little over cooked, but still tasty!For our entree, we got wings and Mac and cheese. SO GOOD! The brisket in the Mac was so tender.Like I said, we’re not from here, so we asked Mark (the bartender) for some places to go eat since it was just my birthday and we’re here for a few nights. He went out of his way to provide us multiple different options! He even texted his wife to ask!! One of the best customer service experiences we’ve ever had. Mark was phenomenal - we highly recommend.They also have board games and cards to sit, play, drink and relax!If you’re still reading, thanks! And hope this helps!!

As someone from Nashville Tennessee, which is known for its barbeque, this place rivals the best. Also, besides the local alcoholic beverages, try one of the craft soft drinks. Friendly and helpful staff, lots of free parking. Games inside for the kids and bigger kids too.

Each time I've been here the food has been delicious. The pulled chicken sandwich is something I can have everyday, its so good aided with the side of poutine with their own deep fried cheese curds is second to none. Beer on the other hand is okay for me, while I've had a couple good ones the rest haven't been anything special for me.Spending wise the range is more $25-35 for a meal with a drink.The service can a hit and miss, on my last visit for a table for two (2) was great. The previous couple of times in larger group (8+) it can be a bit slower, however, this has been similar with some other restaurants I've been to lately.

I love Prairie Dog. The ethos and values of this local business are amazing and intentional! Food is amazing. We got 14 people and had this epic meat platter which was so delicious and fun!

While my husband and I were in Calgary, we went to Prairie Dogs for lunch. We ate outside. Big picnic tables with huge umbrellas! The pink lemonade was so refreshing in the heat! Highly recommended. My hubby and I shared a meal. Definitely will go back when we are in Calgary. Loved it here. Friendly staff! Also pet friendly. You must go there!

I loved my first visit to Praire Dog Brewery! As soon as I walked in, I saw a shelf of board games, so that's fun. On one side are the brewing tanks, and the other is the restaurant, with 2 pool tables. They have free wifi as well.This was the first place in a long time that I was able to order something without modifying my meal. It was delicious! I will definitely be back to taste the unique beer flavours! You can also take home a growler of your favourites! Thanks, everyone!

LOVED everything about this place. The vibe was relaxed and family friendly, the service was warm and came with good recommendations, food was delicious and had a nice smoke although the sausages were a tad tough to my liking, vast variety of beer, and overall it was a neat and clean place. The hot sauces were hot. I wish they'd bottle their mango habanero and sell it.
