Avoid working with this company if possible! I did not realize Princess Cruises utilizes a 3rd party for a majority of wedding planning when I initially arranged my wedding through them. Everyone on the Princess side of things was awesome, but most of the wedding planning is not done through them. Royal Oceans Events was very slow to respond, messed up several details on my wedding day, and overall made the process of wedding planning extremely stressful! My whole goal of doing a cruise wedding was to reduce stress, and my experience was the exact opposite. Since my wedding, they have ghosted me in regards to my request for a refund for some of the services that I payed for but they failed to provide.

If 0 or negative stars were an option, that's what I would give. This is a third-party so-called event planning company that Norwegian unfortunately forces passengers to use for scheduling special events. They are TERRIBLE! Unresponsive, unkind, disorganized, rude...I could go on and list every negative word in the dictionary and it wouldn't be enough to describe the people working for this company". Do NOT under any circumstances plan on having a special event planned competently through this service. You're better off finding some local venue at a port while on your cruise. HUGE waste of time and money

All these reviews are accurate. Horrible communication. Wedding happened and everything worked out, but lots of unnecessary stress along the way.

The wedding planning company which is a third party , totally ruined our special day. Totally ! Alexa was rude and uncaring ! It took Royal Caribbean’ s ship staff to make it even close to special.Wilhelm on Explorer of the Sea is awesome! Don’t trust them with your money !

**UPDATE** DO NOT TRUST** unprofessional, uneducated, unorganized, untruthful. I should have never used this company.I was told these were the people I needed to use for my wedding on my cruise with Norwegian. I chose a destination wedding and paid a lot of money. This company does not communicate. Questions are not answered. I have to initiate all contact. Requests are not met. I’ve paid for a coordinator and I’m still so stressed out. I have no idea what is going on with my wedding. I’m 43 days away and have not clue 1 what is happening. My day is being ruined.

I had my wedding on the Norwegian Star, and it was disappointing. We had a symbolic wedding at sea at the spiceh2o, and we hired a photographer for 2 hours. There was no organization, and they didn't let me know that the venue would be open to regular guests. As I was walking down towards the aisle, I was shocked to see people on their bathing suits, drunk/drinking and staring at us. They could have blocked the area for 30 minutes. My wedding pictures have TVs with sports on and random people on the background. I felt that they had never done a wedding before. I felt disrespected. The wedding coordinator was a sweetheart, but I don't think she has experience with weddings. I was a bride who did not have the right mind to think about the basic things and relied on their expertise. The photographer did not have an artistic eye and didn't seem to care about the overall quality (lack of professionalism and was rushing as if it was just a job for him and not a passion). There was water all over the area surrounding the table where we could have taken pictures with an ocean view, and no one could think to mop it so we could have a better picture background. When I asked to change the pictures that I picked, all he cared about was to pay more money($500) to purchase all the unsightly pictures. My family took better photos on their phone. They had the opportunity to make me happy by exchanging the picture frame that came with the photo package, and they refused. The picture frame I wanted was the same price!!!The cake was delicious and the table set up was cute. We did get extra perks daily( complimentary bottle of wine and hors d'oeuvres) delivered to our cabin, which we much appreciated.

If I could give the negative stars I would. I’m very disappointed that this is the company Princess cruises decided to use for weddings. We booked our cruise to Alaska and hoped to have a dream wedding come true. I contacted Royal Ocean events and was told my options available on the cruise. It was all I hoped and dreamed but it was my AK wedding. We filled out and returned the contract and we’re told that our date would not be saved until payment was made. I begged them to call and take my payment. After 3 weeks of nothing, I sent an email to void our contract since they have been unresponsive and didn't collect our payment. Here it is 2.5 months later and I still haven’t received a response.Plan your wedding elsewhere or don’t be surprised if it all falls through and ruins the greatest day you’ve dreamed of =(

I had a very good experience with ROE. I was a little worried after reading some older reviews but I honestly think they are trying to turn the company around (i am not sure if there is new management or not). My husband and I got married in July through NCL and ROE made sure all of our requests were met and properly communicated with the ship. Unfortunately, outside of ROE's control, ALL of our issues from our wedding came from NCL's photography services and any inconvenience we are still experiencing is from their guest relations and lack of willingness to resolve our photography issue (some big photos were corrupted and never to be seen again). However, my husband and I received our marriage license earlier than the 12 week possible wait and had amazing customer service from our wedding coordinator Ashley.

wedding was cancelled due to covid. was told we would get full refund for Jan Wedding. April 1 - still no refund or response from anyone. can not reach anyone, numbers don't work any more. DO NOT USE
