Ethan has to be the best barber I have been to in my life! He pays an incredible amount of attention to detail and makes sure I leave the shop looking better than ever each time. Whether I am in to freshen up or try something new, Ethan is a barber I always trust!

I've had issues with barbers cutting my hair shorter than I wanted it to be pretty consistently, but got recommended Glassbox. Joel did my hair and it's been one of my favourite cuts in a long time. He also took the time to explain what he was doing and why, and have sure I was comfortable with whatever he was about to do. I'll definitely be coming back.

I'm not going back, the barber was rude from the beginning, he cut my neck, I went back and they said it was an allergy, that it wasn't cut, the barber and the manager named Nicole were very rude, I'm not going back ever again

I've gone to Glassbox for 7+ years (after moving to Toronto, getting one bad haircut someplace else, trying Glassbox, and never looking back). Unfortunately in that time, 2 of my barbers have gone on to new shops in other cities (they came to Glassbox originally for education and still hold the experience in their bios on their new shops' sites), but every time I land with a barber I like just as much or more. Will never go anyplace else, will never recommend any place else in Toronto.

Charles cuts my hair and nails it every time. I’m the kind of guy that has a hard time finding a good barber and these guys are top notch!!

When I got a haircut here, I was asked a week or so later in the mall by a legit modelling agency’s scouter if I was interested in modelling. One of the stipulations was that I maintain a similarly fresh haircut.Additionally, a lunch lady at the university cafeteria also gave me a very animated thumbs up, and all the other workers there also expressed their outward approval. This is a good place. They will be very patient and figure out not only what you want, but what the ideal version of you would want.

I went there for the first time when I had long hair and I got a haircut from Nicole, I loved it!Now that I’m doing short haircuts for the first time in years with Ethan and I love it as well! The barbershop is something else, they have a good team, you can feel the vibes, is clean, professional and most of all they are really skilled because they have classes regularly which keeps teachers and students sharp. Also, they have free haircuts pretty often because of those clases.

I went in to see Ethan yesterday for a low fade and some maintenance to my curls up top. Instead I got a high fade and all of my curls cut down. I was super specific in describing exactly what I wanted and even offered a demarcation point for the fade to end. I got the complete opposite of what I asked for.I'm not sure if post-pandemic the general quality of barbers in the city has gone down or if a lot of Toronto barbers just don't care about their craft/listening to their clients anymore but I'm noticing a trend.Either way, it's frustrating that I have to go into the holiday season looking a complete mess. Deeply regret getting this cut. Beautiful space, nice guys, but what's the point if I'm walking out with a trash cut?
