Alpine Stables

Very nice experience. Our guide was great, very nice and knowledgeable. We were early and so was she so we prepared our horses and left early :) Since it was a trail for all level and my partner was not experimented, it was perfect. However I wished they could offer a trail with trotting (even galloping) for experimented riders. We’ll definitely come back for the 3h summit ride one day though.

We did a 1.5 hour trail ride, Andrea our lead was super sweet and knowledgeable, overall really good experience. The horses are treated really nicely and it’s very affordable. Definitely coming again. I’d recommend it if you’re looking to have a day outing!

Andrea led us on a magical mountain tour with our two horses, Bonnie and Blu! The horses were well trained and the trail was exciting but safe. Hope to return again! Remember to tip your tour guide!!

We had a lovely ride up the beautiful mountain with our guide Andrea. The horses work hard and are obviously well loved and well looked after. It was the best riding experience on our holiday.

Had the most amazing trail ride with Alpine Stables today. Visiting from Australia and it was just beautiful riding through the rainforest of Vancouver Island up to the summit. Andrea was a fabulous guide and I can’t rate this ride highly enough. Loved my horse - Bonnie.

My family and I had an excellent time at Alpine Stables. A classy operations all the way around. You can tell they take good care of their horses and are well trained. I had no fear that the horses would do something unsafe. We took the 3 hour mountain view trail ride which was awesome! It was a great way to experience the rainforest and get a good mountain top view of the valley, bay and Victoria. We had lots of fun riding the hilly terrain, lots of turns, uphill and downhill so you are never bored. Andrea was our guide, she talked about the area, the plants and kept the ride really lively. She kept a frequent eye on us to make sure we were ok, we had a couple brief trots downhill which was exciting. Our daughters had so much fun and they want to come back . The ride sure made us hungry.. they recommended this Pub close by and that place was amazing too. Definitely one of if not the best horseback riding experiences my family has ever had. We highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience the area and support a company that treats their animals well. Thank You Alpine Stables!

I had a wonderful and special time bonding with my son on this ride last summer. I have stage 4 cancer and I came down from Ontario to see my son-I never thought he’d ever get on a horse but what an amazing and beautiful trail ride! Thank you for the awesome memories.

Sam was an amazing guide did the 2 hour ride with Blu and Bud. It was amazing and beautiful, can't wait to do it again. Thank you for the use of your horses.

Thanks for the great experience Andrea! I chose the Rainforest Ride which was 2hrs and I found it to be the perfect amount of time. Great guide, beautiful scenery and horses! Awesome and memorable day.

Had a wonderful three hour summit trail ride with Andrea on the weekend and had a wonderful time. This is Bonnie, and she was a joy to ride.
