We drove 3 hours to receive help for our reactive German Shepherd. Erika came highly recommended and after 2 hours of spending time with her I couldn't agree more! She cleared up many misunderstandings I had around training and gave my husband and I excellent training techniques to use when our Shepherd is reacting to dogs around her. Our Lab is reactive to other dogs when we take her for a walk and we were looking for a behaviour consultant that would help us with this. Erika at Eden Dog Academy was able to give us the skills to handle all types of situations. She is kind, patient and very knowledgeable. From the first week we had our rescue, we knew we were going to need help to improve her serious fearfulness and anxiety. Luckily we found Erika and we've come an incredibly long way with her guidance. We were struggling to get our dog to even leave our house, and she was terrified of any interaction with strangers. Erika is very knowledgeable and good at what she does. Under her advice I have managed to use the tools she gave me to get my very dog reactive dog under control so that we can start enjoying activities together like camping and pet friendly events. I contracted Erika to train a Service Dog for me. We've been working closely together for the past six months, It became very clear, very quickly that Erika is an extremely passionate and knowledgeable dog trainer. We started the free puppy socialization class at Eden Dog Academy with our puppy Oatmeal and immediately signed up for the next two levels of puppy obedience training. Erika is amazing with dogs of all personalities, and more importantly, knows how to train humans how to work with their dogs! Abby is also an amazing trainer and her love for dogs shows in her work. We were brand new to dog training when we started and we left feeling like we had a much stronger bond with Oatmeal. He was a very fearful puppy at first, but both Abby and Erika were able to teach us how to better read his body language to make him feel more comfortable and confident. Unfortunately we have moved a few hours away, otherwise we would be continuing classes with Eden Dog Academy!

Over the last few years that I have been working with Eden Dog Academy I have learned so much from Erika. She has helped me bring out the best in my boy! As well as help us achieve our goals in the CARO rally ring among other goals; like increasing his focus, find his drive and increase both of our confidence. Prior to my service dog in training's (Sage) board and train with Erika, I struggled a lot with her over excitement around other people, dogs, and animals. We had never even attempted public access training. Following her board and train with Erika, my dog is now able to do extended public access trips with me and has become a much calmer, cooperative, and easy-going pup.
