Yesterday we had our Christmas party in our building. Our Managers spent days getting everything prepared for it. Leigh Ann actually cooked everything. It was so delicious. Her husband Joel pitched in. They bought gifts for the children, we had draws for prizes. Santa even came to visit. I also want to give credit to Anne and Scott who helped out as well. I

Leigh Ann and Joel have gone above and beyond what any landlord would have done for a tenant. They helped me with finding furniture and did it with smiles on their face. Leant me an air mattress until I found a bed. Every time I needed maintenance done someone was here within a half hour if not five minutes. Truly generous and kind and go out of their way to accommodate and make sure you are happy. The grounds are always looked after nicely. They do an incredible job looking after the property and making sure it is in great shape. Thanks Leigh Ann, Joel and Lamplighter staff.

Worst year of my life living in this building!I had no heat most of November, December, and January. Instead of properly fixing the problem, they just had someone come in and bleed the line of air once a week or so. They wouldn’t notify me when they were entering the suite to fix heat problems. They did give me a space heater as a solution.Halls stink of mould. The carpet in the halls should all be torn out, absolutely disgusting!They advertise the building as non-smoking, however there are several people who are grandfathered in as smokers so the halls smell like cigarettes.The elevator in building A is a death trap. It makes a lot of noise and sometimes the doors take a long time to open.Rumours that there is cockroaches in the building, personally I’ve never seen one.The fire alarms go off randomly all the time.The renovated suites are not great. The laminate was not installed properly so the floors are not level or flat. The floor has lots of lumps and bumps.I do have to say that the maintenance guys have their work cut out for them and are very responsive to maintenance requests.They do allow pets, dogs of any size.

Management and maintenance staff are excellent. Always friendly and professional. Updated appliances and vinyl floors are great. Security and secure parking. Updates to property ie: window screens, elevator ect. are well managed. Excellent gym and facilities. Highly recommend.

It was a pretty good place to live, and then the renovated the exterior. Now it's awesome looking! I barely ever use my car for groceries as Save On is about 6-8 min walk, there is also a Thrifties about the same distance, a dollar store, multiple convenience stores/gas stations, and a really nice park with a seperate dog park and playground.

We moved in to Lamplighter in January this year and from day one, Leigh Ann and her team have been incredible. The building is safe and clean. Anytime we have a question or concern, the response time is very quick and we have had no issues. Leigh Ann is always smiling and happy to help. The apartments are spacious and well kept. The grounds are well kept and lots of space to enjoy. They do everything they can to make it a welcoming community. Would recommend these apartments to my friends and family. Thank you Leigh Ann and Lamplighter for the amazing living space.

Renovations are cheap and strictly cosmetic, rent is over priced, management doesn't really solve any problems. They got rid of the cockroaches as far as I can tell, but building is still infested with all kinds of other bugs. They have a contract with a pest company to come spray all units that complain once a month, that should say enough. Pest guy told me the building is infested because it's full of mold to go along with the asbestos. The units are not properly sealed I have a 2 inch gap under my front door and under the base board heaters is strictly spray foam. Windows are single pained in some units and double in others, some unit have blinds others have curtains others have nothing, the odd unit gets bug screens. Laundry facilities are disgusting probably because junkies use them too. I swear to god they shut the heat off at night time, every morning the house is freezing cold even if the heat is maxed out to 30 degrees(back in the colder months).They said they got rid of all the bad tenants but there's still a bunch of junkies and some serial killer looking people who live here. If you're thinking of moving in don't, they make it seem like it's changed and are really good at upselling these garbage buildings. I regret moving here but it's a mandatory one year lease.

We lived here for 4 years and it was fine. Affordable price, new appliances, hard floors. Things weren't perfect and there were some bug issues but management was generally good about taking care of things. They switched management companies halfway through our tenancy and we had no problem with either company but I did find it weird that no one gave us any warning that they were switching over (which meant the way we paid rent had to change). I don't really think the units are worth it at the current price they're asking for them, when we moved there in 2016 the rent for a 1 bedroom was under 1K. But it's definitely not as terrible as some reviews would have you believe.

Hubby and I have lived here coming up in October for two years. Managment changed the day we moved in. We enjoy it here, for the price we pay, it's what we'd expect. Always have had great dealings with mangement and staff. Our concerns are addressed promtly and once our rageaholic neighbour was kicked out, it's been a lot quieter.
