After having another company out to check my shop door, I sought a second opinion with mountain view overhead doors. Jan was honest and knowledgable. The first company’s tech stated I only had one option - replace the full door. That first company charged me a $100 call out fee and the tech refused to try anything to get it going as he said there was no point. Jan came out to take a look and in 10 minutes had the door going better than it did before it broke. I would recommend mountain view overhead doors for quality work, and honest, knowledgable service.

We purchased a house with a garage door without windows. In a service call unrelated to the lack of windows, Jan assessed there was a structural flaw that weakened the door. Therefore, instead of repairing the door, we decided to change it to a better one that included windows so we could have natural light during the day. When we determined that we didn’t like the opaque glass that we had originally ordered, Jan contacted the garage door company and was able to replace them with clear glass panels at a reasonable cost for labour only. Jan and his crew are very thorough, efficient and professional and we are very pleased with the better quality door, and the increased light. I had an old overhead door that came off the track. I called and Jan Schaafsma was here within an hour. He repaired the door and went above and beyond. When we redo our garage in the fall we will be calling Jan for a new refit. Excellent, fast service at affordable prices. Thank you Mountain View for providing such fast, efficient service.
