First time here. Came for a belated father's day dinner with my special girl. Was told the place was supposed to be very nice but had a different experience. Server was friendly enough but definitely not attentive enough. The restaurant was relatively empty (maybe 1 other table) but the server was hard to find (actually she was just hanging out with the rest of the staff since it was slow and just chatting away) and even when we ordered she didn't tell us the lamb was unavailable that night. She just took or order then came back saying there was no lamb that night (maybe if she was better prepared she wouldve know that when we ordered). Food was ok, took a bit longer considering there werent many patrons. Also we order the prime rib but it wasnta nicecut of meat and part of the steak was bad (edible but almost crispy, definitely not medium rare as we had ordered).Overall I don't think I will be returning as the place was a bit pricier but the service and food did not reflect that. There are TONS of 9ther restaurants to try. I also do not recommend this place as it is all hype and not worth dining there.

The ambiance is very nice and unique with many funny pictures of cats on the walls. The waitress was very attentive, very pleasant and knowledgeable about the food. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had borsch that comes with very good bread and cabbage rolls which were better than the ones my grandmother made. The fish was prepared perfectly and nice and crispy outside. You absolutely have to try the side of potatoes. They are divine, cooked with generous amount of butter and truffles. The food is prepared with heart and great attention to detail and tastes absolutely great. We live 3 hours drive from Toronto and we decided to come again to try their Sunday specials. My wife said it was one of the best meals we had in a restaurant in the last 20 years. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. It is a gem! Great job chef Dennis! Thank you!

Denis is a master chef! I have been eating his food since he was located closer to Ossington. He sources the highest level of ingredients and makes everything shine. A lot of his menu items read very simple, but they are executed to perfection. My girlfriend and I shared the beet salad (my favourite restaurant salad anywhere), terrine, trout tartare (daily special), mushroom crepes, braised beef cheeks and the lemon tart. I have never had a bad dish from him, the tartare, beef cheeks and lemon tart blew our minds! Denis is always raising his level of cookery. Thank you to you and your wonderful staff. Can't wait to be back!

A Great bar requires a few things, really good food and drinks with consistently great customer service. This place has it all. Drinks are always cold and fresh. The food menu is the stand out as the owner/chef makes some of Toronto’s best kept secrets. His cured salmon along with his hand made Russian/Georgian dumplings (Khinkali) are a must. The crepes (both meat or vegetarian mushroom filled) are always made so well and filling. During these tough lockdown times it must be tough for restaurants to stay open not sure when the next order would be called in for pick up or delivery. Chef Denis is busy cooking up meals like his Khachapuri (almost like pizza but isn’t) which I have never had before and a MUST ORDER. I really miss just coming in for a good meal and a drink and will return as soon as establishments are allow to open up again. For now as I have move further away will continue to Order through Toronto delivery services and help support this Toronto Gem! These dishes you cannot find anywhere else! My house orders enough for two days (leftovers are keys) and the food is packed well. Cannot wait to go back when it is allowed.New location is beautiful and very welcoming. New Wine selection has just added more perfect pairings to the variety of meals you may choose from. Don’t miss out on Sunday BBQ as Chef cooks over charcoal. Still my favourite place to eat in Toronto.

This was my first time here and definitely not the last. I’ll be coming here and bringing more friends to try the incredible Sunday BBQ. Our table ordered the Beef, Pork and Lamb Shashleyk with the Roast Potato Sides and Bone Marrow. We ended the night with the Honey Cake.Chef’s kiss! Everything was phenomenal. The charred caps of fat on my pork made my night!Although the food was a little delayed because of how busy they were, the service was attentive and communicative about it.Thank you for a wonderful dinner!

This is literally one of the only places I go to eat in the city. Denis is an insanely talented chef, everything he cooks feels like he's invited you into his house and cooked the most beautiful meal and makes it with LOVE. No joke, the first time I tried his food (the lamb) I cried actual tears. You always end up leaving feeling warm and cozy on the inside. The front of house staff are also amazing! Attentive, professional and kind.If you go, get the steak. My boyfriend had a legitimate out of body experience the first time he tried it haha.Top faves are steak, potatoes (best potatoes ever), beet salad (!), mushroom crepes, cured salmon. Honestly it's all great. Do yourself a favour and go.

such an incredible place with great service! there are very few restaurants where everything is so on point. every dish was singular in its flavour profile and together, the feast was amazing. can't recommend it highly enough!

Myself and 2 friends sat at the bar on Sunday evening (BBQ menu). We tried a bit of everything and had a fantastic meal. The bartender/ server provided phenomenal service and was so lovely. One of the best meals and dining experiences I have ever had. Can’t wait to go back.
