Victoria Park Towers by Drewlo Holdings

I've been living here just over a year now and it's a great place to be living with a great view! The superintendents, Jackie & Andre, are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. They were great helping us with the lease and move in process and with any issues we've had; she is quick to respond to emails, which is great as not all Drewlo building super's use email with tenants in my experience. The building is a very friendly community and we have lots of great neighbors. There are great amenities here such as the pool, fitness room and community room (though been closed most of the past year due to COVID so sadly haven't really used those yet).One thing that does get frustrating is that the furnace vents are small round ones in the ceiling, and we find it takes a long time to cool the place down; especially as there is no vent near the front entrance area/kitchen, so when cooking the kitchen gets extremely hot and humid since there is no window either. Really wish there was a vent closer to the kitchen/dining room area as it would help with air circulation.

Such a great place to live with so many things within walking distance. Jackie and Andre are amazing, attentive, an amazing team that are ready to help with even the smallest concern. We love living here!A couple of photos of the moon from the balcony.

I have tried to leave a review before but was unsuccessful so I will try again. I have lived here for over three years and felt I wanted to share our experience thus far. First and foremost I want to acknowledge our superintendents. They are a marvelous couple who truly work very hard at meeting all the residents needs. When ever they are off for a couple of days it doesn't take long to know what days they have free. They are congenial and willing to assist. They keep the property very clean. Secondly our unit is perfect for my family. We have a beautiful view of the park and if we have any needs we simply contact the supers and within a short time all is taken care of. We are happy here.

Short Version:Building is in an amazing location and is well maintained, if a bit older.Apartments are basic, but nice with thick walls.Amenities are good, and I rarely had issue with them.Repairs will need to happen but the staff dealt with them quickly and efficientlyArea is very walkable, with an amazing park nearby and lots of nice restaurantsLandlords are responsive and pleasant to work with. Took care of issues quickly.I would definitely live here again.Long Version:I lived here for several years, and enjoyed it greatly. The apartments themselves are relatively basic, but large. If you happen to be on the first floor as I was, you'll also get a very nice terrace instead of a balcony. The terrace is raised from ground level (more like being on the second floor) and has a variety of bushes and the like to provide additional privacy from the street. The walls of the apartments are also thick enough that I rarely ever heard my neighbours.The building itself is a bit older and that shows with the design, but it is well maintain. During my tenure there, the management repainted all the common areas, remodeled the community lounge, installed new carpets in the hallways, and installed new toilets in every apartment. They also added new artwork and such in the entryway.The building has several amenities, including a small gym, a pool, a sauna, and a lounge. There's also a bike cage for storing bikes securely, freeing up apartment space. I used the gym, pool and sauna fairly regularly and it was maintained reasonably well. There was some temperature variance with both the sauna and the hot tub and they sometimes didn't heat up enough.During my time there, I had two instances of water issues, and both times, the landlords sealed them off fairly quickly until proper repairs could be made. The repairs themselves generally happened in short order there after. They also handled any other general repairs I needed quickly and efficiently.The location of the building was also key for me, being close to the Kitchener school campus, downtown, and Victoria Park. It's a very walkable area and great area to live. The park itself has multiple events a year to check out as wellAs for the landlords themselves, they were extremely pleasant and willing to spend time addressing any concerns and issues. They made my stay a good one, and I would have definitely continued living here if I hadn't been required to move across the country.Overall, this is an amazing place to live as long as you don't have unrealistic expectations. The building is a bit older, and will need repairs, that's just a fact of life. It's not perfect but I enjoyed my time there.

Been living here for almost a year and we love it! Jackie the super is always awesome to talk to and is always very helpful with everything we need. The building is older but the units are much larger compared to other rental buildings in the area, and have in suite laundry which is a life saver. Building is located in an awesome spot and it’s so nice to have Victoria park so close. Definitely recommend!

We have lived here for over 6 years and love it. The location is perfect and the amenities are great. The best part is the building management, Jackie and Andre work really hard to keep everything clean and make it a fun place to live. We love the community here! I have referred many people to this building and all have been happy they made the move!

If there were 4.5 stars I would chose that. I enjoy living here very much. The supers, Jackie and Andre are the best. 5 stars to them. They are not only friendly but are quickly responsive to all requests. My apartment is large, bright, well designed and comfortable. Coming from Toronto, I find it very well priced. I enjoy the pool and the general ambiance of the building and my fellow residents. The location of the building is central to my needs and the view over looking the park is fantastic. The one less star (half star actually), indicating less than perfectly ideal, has only to do with that the building is older and therefore the shared areas are hard for 2 merely mortal superintendents to keep pristine at all times. However given that, I am satisfied with the general aesthetics and quality of upkeep.

My elderly loved one lived here for 8+ years before moving to long term care. Jackie & Andre are amazing and attentive superintendents. The building was always clean and decorated for every holiday & fun occasion...and his unit was spacious and beautiful. Jackie & Andre were always very pleasant and quick to respond to any questions. A very lovely place.

We have been here for over 8 years.The location is perfect, close to everything in downtown Kitchener, and the ION is minutes away.Amenities are great - washer, dryer, dishwasher and air conditioning in your unit. Pool, fitness area and underground parking, what more could you ask for :-)The supers, Jackie and Andre, are amazing. They are a lot of fun to chat with and they are very quick to respond to any issues you may have.Fantastic place to live!
