Hugh Boyd Soccer Fields

An absolutely brilliant pitch! Hugh Boyd's soccer fields takes up about 3 quarters of all of Hugh Boyd's land! Vast and spacious, which is good when you need to practice your skills or to play a fun match.

The turf is older which definitely makes it harder to play in. The nets are beat up and it’s usually reserved for soccer teams and clubs. If you’re playing for free, you’ll have to wait on people to finish. Overall it’s not that bad of a spot to kick the ball around.

Great soccer fields, they put in new turf a couple years ago. Much better than soccer fields in other districts.

Hugh Boyd soccer fields are awesome IF you can find a spot open, which is rare at nights, but if you do it is really nice. You can adjust the nets and make your own small field and it closes at 11.

Great new turf but OH MAN!! I can not explain how bad the quality of the nets are, they might as well be replaced with a shoe lace. I heard the new fields were ~1 million dollars but I don't understand how they couldn't afford a few new nets

Fields are good along with good parking. Needs to have Covered Stands for Parents not only players. Along with decent washrooms a portable toilet not the best. Blenz and Starbucks are across the street literally.

I was here for Nation's Cup soccer and the fields were in the best shape I've seen in over 20 years. Great spot for a great tournament.

Part of a larger sports complex which includes a community center, pitch and putt, playground, and grass and turf soccer fields. Turf is due to be replaced in summer 2019. Within walking distance of Safeway, A & W, subway, blenz coffee, shoppers drug mart and japanese food. The complex is home to many tournaments throughout the year. The are 2 large parking lots on the north east and to the south. Washrooms are available in the community center or porta potty closer to the field. Shade trees are available through out the park area. However more benches are needed and much better changing facilities. Definitely needs more bleachers for Nations Cup which overwhelms the complex.
