Good experience, made it easy to sell off 30 years of stuff from my parents house to close the estate. Very responsive to questions and supporting selling a wide range of items.

No words… other then if you have any real valuables to sell, please do it yourself. This was my experience in Montreal, it may differ elsewhere. Good luck!Lesson Learnt☹️In reply to the owners comments…and I really didn’t want to get into this but since he commented the way he did here is goes… yes, many lots are selected, pictures taken but it seemed what was of higher value was priced very low. This was an Estate Sale that had many quality valuable items. However, when I saw how low some of the valuables were priced I had no choice but to start deleting items. I also noticed the valuables that were highly sought after, such as rare vintage tea cups , plates… these items were segregated into lots and priced so low that they never even made it to the online sale. I was told there was a buyer in Toronto. I even had to take back and cancel certain lots due to what I felt was unreasonable pricing. Such as 2 Aynsley Orchard Gold plates, signed …in prestine conditions at $10 each… really? When these plates sell for almost $400 each, if not more! There were other items as well but I was so overwhelmed at this point that I didn’t say anything. I also noticed the items that were less sought after were priced a little higher. This is when I realized something did not feel right. The reason why I chose Sell My Stuff is they promote Estate Sales so I was under the impression they had an understanding of what is of value, what is desirable and priced fairly. I truly felt that this company would work for me and educate me to get the most out of my sales, however this was not my experience. Also when I had to cancel a sale of an item that my daughter wanted to keep as an heirloom from her grandmother, I apologized repeatedly and when I tried to explain the situation I was berated and told that I was ruining his reputation and relationship with his “Toronto Buyer” which left me feeling completely worthless as a customer. However, I felt I had to dig a little deeper and I wondered why is he so upset with me? The item was a Lladro figurine that he priced at $120.00 No big deal right? Plus SMS only gets 40% of that sale. I was shocked to why he was so upset with me and why I was treated as though he just lost a million dollar sale. Well, after doing some re-search on the internet this Lladro figurine called “Childhood Dreams” was a retired piece back in 2004 and a highly sought after piece priced between $1000-$1300. Now I get it!Anways, Insult to injury I was penalized 50% for removing that Lladro figurine that my daughter wanted to keep in the family and at the end of the sale there was a deduction of $60. WOW.I never said anything, at this point. I just bit my lower lip and wanted this whole ordeal behind me.My position still remains the same, if you have any valuables to sell …do it yourself! Do not give your valuables to SMS to sell for you unless you don’t care. Like I said before…Lesson Learnt!
