Hotel Kelowna & Conference Centre

Very friendly staff, room was spacious, clean and I definitely enjoyed my space. Highlight was being told housekeeping was by request only to find out they'd given the room a quick tidy the next day.Downside was a lack of clear signage on the highway indicating this was my hotel. I understand they are transitioning the hotel, but not being 100% sure that's where I was going was not the best first impression. Thankfully, the staff, room and amenities all more than made up for that.

We had a block booking for our wedding guests for Aug 2022, as well as a ballroom booking. With the management changeover in the summer, services really fell through. It took me almost a month with 2/3 reminder emails to get a reply each time from our designated event manager, Ashley. Even our caterer had a hard time getting replies to their questions! At the time of our weeklong stay, front desk service was extremely poor, excepting Brendan's, he saved the day every time, and was knowledgeable about the services, as he was one of the older staff that stayed through the changeover. Tanner's services at the ballroom were excellent. He managed everything singlehandedly, with a big warm smile. Ashley had promised a 10% discount to our room rates for the days outside of our block booking, in an email (written document). Since, nobody at the front desk was aware of this, we did not get the discount at the time of checking out. Later I emailed Ashley repeatedly with her earlier email promising the 10% discount but haven't received any reply from her! Not a good experience with this new management!

I was a guest at this hotel for three days. I am very disappointed first of all I came in to the hotel with my two and three year old toddlers and my husband. My first impression when I opened the door to our room was very disappointing , the floors had visible dried fluid stains and just looked very unhygienic. There was a strong smell of this awful scent which seemed to mask a smoke smell that was extremely overwhelming especially having children around. The sink seemed to have plumbing issues as water would take forever to drain. After the first day we noticed there was no house keeping that came to our room, the second day we put a sign outside our door requesting for one because we had little children garbage needed to be emptied and rooms tidied. . Everyday we noticed there was no housekeeping even after leaving the sign out requesting for one and also calling the reseptionist , no one came to empty the garbage and clean the rooms,replace the sheets and towels even after requesting for this. We checked out and a month after our stay at this hotel, I was looking at my credit card statement and noticed a $250 charge. I called the hotel and was notified that the charge was because the carpets needed cleaning after we left. They charged my credit card without notifying me , without showing me proof of the cleaning that they needed to do on the carpets.i had to email the manager who took almost a week to send me proof of the cleaning they needed to do on the carpets..I explained to her that there was no housekeeping for 3 days and she said that unfortunately there was food marks and they had to get the carpet clean. After viewing pictures it's absolutely crazy that they charged me a cleaning fee for little chicken dropping on the floor. I never return to this hotel again. This hotel was great!Efficient check in, 1 hour early because our room was ready. The lobby was clean with awesome cold filtered water (hold the button down, be patient and use your fingernail to press).Parking was free and lots of it, including around back. Location was very convenient for our needs. We left our car and walked to dinner and the grocery store.Room was spacious and clean, beds were super comfortable. It was quiet and dark at night (facing away from the highway), sunny in the morning. Fridge was large for a mini fridge and had a small freezer. Coffee maker in the room was good.The bathroom was clean with lots of towels, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. We didn’t expect housekeeping for our three night stay and it was not offered (not industry standard any longer)The breakfast was good, with standard bread (toaster), eggs, cereal and coffee (not too strong), tea, juice. Oatmeal was too much liquid for my taste.Pool looked clean and kids seemed happy. Hot tub and water slides not in use. Gym looked clean and adequately equipped.Ice was on the fourth floor and a bag provided to fetch it. If this is important to you bring your own container to get ice.Would stay here again and would recommend it to friends.Thanks staff! It was a good travelling experience!

Excellent stay and value! The room was clean, the beds were comfy, and I had a great night's sleep. The amenities, such as the pool and water slides, are fun for everyone. The breakfast was a nice touch, and appreciative of it.I would recommend and return when next in Kelowna

Fabulous customer service! Clean room and great location. They were super accomadating for our late 1:15 am arrival. Prices were very affordable and I would definitely stay here again. Great for couples, families and business people. Thanks so much!

We have had a great experience at this hotel. Beginning with the check in Alicia was very welcoming and professional. We also had the pleasure of speaking with Tanner, his customer service skills are above and beyond. He is very enthusiastic and puts a smile on your face. His happy attitude is infectious. Sue, thanks to you too. We will be back again. Although this post is about the customer service being great, I need to mention the room was great as well. It was our first time so we didn't know what to expect.

Staff was very friendly, room was clean. Be aware they spray the room with Febreeze after cleaning and the smell lingers in the air. We ended up having the window open and bathroom fan running in addition to the A/C going, as I’m sensitive to scents. This really affected my enjoyment of my stay at the hotel as it took our entire stay for the smell to dissipate. I suggest calling ahead if you are bothered by an artificially scented environment.

Please read through the 1 star reviews before you book. We wish we had, because they are bang on. Honestly one of the worst check in and hotel experiences we've had. They started by bumping us down from a deluxe king business suite to another suite. Our booking indicated one free bottle of wine which they refused to provide, indicating the hotel is under new management since the time we booked - basically our loss? They wouldn't compensate the difference or provide any promotion for future use. It seemed like a really poor explanation overall and terrible hospitality.Staff weren't very helpful and didn't come up to clean the room after we reported it was dirty / not clean upon check in.****The room was not cleaned properly*****First of all, there was some white powdery stain on the cabinet (as though someone had touched a sugary pastry and then touched the cabinet). There were also opened plastic cutlery left in the cabinets from what I assume were the previous occupants. Albeit, the cherry on top was the long black hair left in the tub. Overall I'm not certain they do a very thorough job at cleaning the place.If you're worried about cleanliness, hospitality, or a hotel paying attention to requests you've made in an email about accomodations - THIS IS NOT THE PLACE YOU SHOULD STAY!Don't waste your time or money on this place. Go somewhere nicer or with better service.

Pool is cold and dirty, it was winter lake cold. The tiles in the pool has brown layers all around and heavy deposits at the bottom of the pool. Hot tub works but no jets working. Shower at the pool has ran out of soap when take a shower at the pool. So, i don't think they look after the pool area. The drains in the room takes a long time to drain. Must have a clogging situation but they didn't fix it or look after it. Breakfast was pretty good but the coffee tasted like a Second brew. No sure if the coffee is like that or brewed it twice. Staffs was friendly. Fair experience with some set backs.
