Agree with the comments posted here about their staff attitude at the reception. Rude and poor customer service. When they provide an available time slot don’t you dare ask for an alternative. You will get a bad attitude on the other side of the phone like it’s a huge effort. They also did not confirm my appointment and were not interested in hearing about it - the response is “we sent it, you should check your phone”. A very busy place so they obviously take advantage of all the referrals. They charge you for some extra tests on the spot without telling you in advance of the appointment or explaining what the tests are for. I waited almost one hour for my scheduled appointment with the doctor and when raising concerns about the wait time at the reception I was told to reschedule appointment or go somewhere else. So if you are prepared to deal with bad attitude, flex your schedule to fit theirs, spend some extra time waiting for the doctor and pay without asking questions you might get what you need.

I have had 2 appointments in office and each time the staff are excellent! This office runs like a well oiled machine. I am greeted professionally, treated in a timely manner, and I am very happy with my care. Many thanks to all of the team.

Worst Customer Service. They ripped me off with charging me no show fees where it was their fault of not confirming appointment after making changes. The RECEPTIONIST is super rude and arrogant and also tried to blackmail me by saying if i don’t pay she will cancel all my appointments and then i have to wait 2 months to get to see the doctor and discuss with him regarding fees. Whereas when i came last time she clearly said someone from office will call to confirm the appointment and no one called !! i tried to call them 100 times and no one picked the call. Seems like they are super busy but when i walk in the clinic receptionist are busy watching shows on netflix and just not receiving calls!!!worst worst worst people with really bad attitude and zero competence, sitting on front desk and dealing with people. Instead of guiding correctly i think they are just sitting there to play with people and just rip people off using their clever tactics !Never recommending anyone to go here and will also ask my opthomologist to never recommend anyone here !They need to let go of these incompeten, rude and arrogant people !

The technicians and doctors at this office are respectful, responsible and provided professional care. However the communication with the office is really difficult. My elder father was referred to a specialist by Dr. Dang. After visit with the specialist, the specialist asked if we would like to have certain procedure done at Dr. Dang's or the specialist's location. Since Dr. Dang's office is closer and easy to drive to, we told the specialist that we would like to have the procedure done Dr. Dang's and the specialist office sent the report back to Dr. Dang. This was in Sept. last year. Two weeks after our visit with the specialist, I called the office and was told that the report was received and will be reviewed and they will let me know next step. So another 4 weeks went by, no call. I called and left a message again. Nothing from the office. In December, I contacted the office again with no reply ever received from them. I could not risk waiting on this office to reply, so i reached out to the specialist to book an appt for the procedure to be done. Dr. Dang's office finally called to book an appt for followup ( not the procedure), I explained to the lady and she was most helpful and booked us in for the procedure so we don't need to go all the way to Toronto. On the day of the procedure, was told by Dr. Dang that she usually would perform the first procedure and would like to have the specialist look after the patients for the rest of the treatment period. So if this is the case, the office/front desk could have told me long time ago which they had Sept, October, November, December and Jan. ( 5 months) to us, but they chose to ignore patient's inquiry for 5 months. Then on the day of the procedure, Dr. Dang said she would have the referrals sent back to the specialist on the same day and I should book appt with the specialist for the next rounds of treatments. So again I gave them 3 days and I called the specialist on Thursday and was told that no referrals!! I called Dr. Dang's office and was told referrals were sent , but guess what? It was sent to my optometrist, not the specialist. It seems to me that they just don't care.

Dr. Dang is an extremely professional Optomologist. Very popular office. (Only down side is that I do not like having to pay for parking.) Her staff are generally all very polite and helpful. I recommend this office for any challenging vision issues.

The most UNPROFESSIONAL the most careless office and doctor , if I were you the moment you have been referred here , ask for a change and another place and Go somewhere else if you value your eyes , MOST IMPORTANTLY I JUST NOTICED THE ANSWER TO MY REVIEW WHICH IS ACOMPLETE LIE , IT WAS A COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL VISIT , I SHOWED UP FOR SCHEDULED EYE SURGERY WHICH DIDNT HAPPEN AND FOR SAME PROCEDURE I WAS ASKED TO BE SEEN THREE TIMES WHEN IT WAS ONLY TWICE LAST YEAR, WHEN IT COMES TO REFERRING DOCTOR, I WENT TO HIS OFFICE IMMEDIATELY TO ASK FOR A REFERRAL SOMEWHERE MORE PROFESSIONAL,I wish I could give minus star but that’s all anyone can , For same procedure which didn’t work now they want to see me three times , one in Oakville two in Missisauga event though I never thought I would be asked to go to Missisauga since I’m Oakville resident . Long story short , they don’t get the work done , they keep ordering you go here go there more and more every time for same procedure, I’m not sure what’s it is for , if it is for to be able to swipe the Ohip card more and more maybe even should Goverment take a look into this because same everything and second time even more oblivious but want to see you three times instead of two, neither logic or make sense nor nowhere near professional

Dr. Stephanie Schumacher has been instrumental in resolving my very complicated eye issues. Other optometrists had failed to help me and I was very frustrated and was suffering considerable eye pain when I was referred to Dr. Schumacher.She was methodical in her approach, prescribing a proper contact lens and ensuring I was using the proper solution to take care of it and my eye. Dr. Schumacher is an expert in corneal abnormalities including keratoconus.If you have any of these issues I highly recommend her services.

Dr. Dang was lovely and extremely knowledgeable along with the other lady who saw my mom just before Dr. Dang. They spent time answering all her questions.However the male technician that was doing some of the assessments beforehand seemed to be very impatient with my mom when she was having a hard time with one of the test. There was one front desk staff with a British accent there that was super helpful.Overall, we decided to go with a different clinic based on our experience with the technician.

Horrible experience with their office and processes. Left me a voicemail while I was on vacation that my appointment was cancelled and rescheduled it. No one confirmed with me that I got the voicemail or their message. No email or text was sent with a new appointment reminder. I showed up on the original appointment date and the reception was unwilling to take any accountability. I had my wife drive me 40 min from Toronto for this surgery and took the day off from work for this. Now I was expected to do this again in weeks time and if I wasn’t able to wouldn’t be booked in until August. Worst experience I’ve had in the medical profession.

I had my left eye lens replaced in Dec. 2022 by Dr. Lam following a few appointments at OTEC. The entire experience was perfect!Great professional staff, supportive, positive, informative. I have 20/20 vision in my left eye for life - for the first time in nearly 40 years! Huge thanks!
