Pioneer Acres of Alberta

Absolutely wonderful place for the entire family to visit. So many things to see and do. Kids will love it.

Very nice place, kids and inlaws loved it.We found the location searching for the old Grain Academey that used to be in Calgary and I was surprised to learn it had a new home so we stopped out here. Huge area woth lots to see. Old restored and preserved equipment for over the yeats, lots of tractors, vehicles and equipment. The Grain Academey has been lovingly restored with the original movie, models and a close replica of the model train set showing the movement of grain. Admirtedly not as big as layout as the original but a painstaiking attemtion to detail. My 5 YO son loved it. Staff were very friendly and talkative and more than willing to accomidate us and explain things.They also have a lot of restored buildings like an old farm house, old school house and a shop.It was a very pleasent place to spend an afternoon at. If you are interested in the equipment and anything to do with the older praries I highly recommend stopping here.

Great place to see agriculture's past. The Ron Carey Building is my favourite because it has the Alberta Wheat Pool Museum plus a selection of Ron Carey's antique, beautifully restored farm trucks. The Long House is set up really nice. Dave was friendly and gave an informative tour. Definitely worth the drive to Irricana.

So much fun and a wealth of farming history. The volunteers were so friendly and knowledgeable. The steak supper was the best value ever. Two thumbs up for the whole experience.

Always a great time at Pioneer Acres. Absolutely love their annual show in August. Its a massive event and great for all ages. The lions club food is a great hit.

Great place to spend the day. Very interesting. Lots to see. The drive there is awesome too.
