Gave birth to my daughter on may ,then I asked the nurse for a pair of underwear, she said don’t you have an underwear. Then I stopped asking ,honestly nurses role is supposed to be better then what I expected when I stayed here for three days. Then, I looked in the cabinet that was in the private room there was nothing. I paid $310 for a private room it was useless because the room wasn’t being cleaned or take the garbage.I’m sorry I wouldn’t recommend anyone to here because the nurses attitude are very bad ,not nice , they think they’re doctors ..like this is not how a nurse supposed to be..careless nurses.

Nursing staff are as bright as asphalt. I was told you may be here for 48hrs and try to keep your 2yr Olds arm straight the entire time.Clearly never been around kids. If she thinks a 2yr old will sit still for 2 hrs with their arm straight she is on glue. We were then told by a doctor to bring our oldest child almost 12 in because she witnessed the episode then we are told our child can't leave the room as she could have a virus but it's some how fine to bring a 12 yr old in to the room let her leave and go back to school. If ny child is so contagious she can't leave the room why is it fine for her older sister to come into the room and then leave why can I come and go are we emune to this virus and can't spread it.All in all terrible experience with doctors and nurses on conplely different pages.

Was there a month ago through the overnight in the waiting room. The housekeeper who was working ( should have got her name as she was amazing ) was helping patients who were waiting with things they needed such as drinks of water , showing the washroom , getting a diabetic woman a small box of cereal and milk , bringing Kleenex to another man all while the 4 nurses were at the desk drinking , eating and talking non work related topics , not busy on the floor. I would give this woman a gold star if I could. Kudos to you ! That hospital needs more of you !!

Disappointing ExperienceI recently had a distressing encounter at Fourth Ave. Hospital, which left me with concern for the level of care and professionalism provided. While I understand that my visit was to the emergency mental health unit, the treatment I received was far from satisfactory.Upon leaving the bathroom and entering the isolation room, I was accompanied by multiple security guards, which immediately made me feel uneasy. Despite my nonviolent demeanor, one particular security guard in white attire forcefully grabbed my arm and maneuvered me into the room. The abruptness of his actions and the subsequent slamming of the door felt completely unnecessary and excessive. The aftermath of this incident has only added to my disappointment. Several weeks have passed, and my arm continues to throb, causing ongoing discomfort. I find it deeply concerning that an encounter meant to provide mental health support has resulted in a physical ailment. The incident itself raises serious questions about the hospital's commitment to patient well-being and safety. The use of excessive force in a situation where I posed no threat is entirely unjustifiable. It is disheartening to think that vulnerable individuals seeking assistance may be subjected to such treatment within the hospital's walls.Furthermore, the lack of follow-up or any acknowledgment of the incident has left me feeling neglected as a patient. It is crucial for healthcare facilities to take responsibility for their actions and address concerns promptly, ensuring that patients' physical and emotional well-being are prioritized. While I cannot deny that hospitals face complex situations daily, it is essential to approach each case with empathy, compassion, and a commitment to patient-centered care. Unfortunately, my experience at the hospital fell short of these expectations.I hope that my feedback serves as an opportunity for the hospital to reflect on their practices and improve the quality of care provided to patients in the future. Everyone, regardless of their circumstances, deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and professionalism.Note: This review is based on my personal experience and may not reflect the overall quality of care provided at this hospital.

Horrible experience! Stay away from this hospital and keep your loved ones away!Zero communication with family members. Rotating doctors with no fluid understanding of diagnostic results. Terrible bed side manners. This hospital should be ashamed of themselves.Patient relations must be backed up as I’m still waiting to hear back from them.Stay away!

I HAVE SCIATICA, came from the local detox centre but I am from Scarborough so idk the area, they took 8 hours to see me just to give me a toradol shot. They then proceeded to give me a bus ticket to get back to the place I came from even though I arrived by ambulance and don’t know the area, horrible hospital, horrible staff, especially a certain blonde working in the emergency room. She shouldn’t be working in the health field.

What an absolutely devastating setup they have here. 7 hours and I don’t even think I’ve seen a doctor yet. Many many nurses about. I would say if something is not done soon bad things will happen to the people of our city because of this lack of care. But I believe it is already too late for this system. 2.6 weighted average with a very large sample size of reviews CANNOT be ignored. And here is another 1 star rating to add to the total.

Just be mindful of the staffs chatting/cake time, us patients should really avoid needing care during that 15-25 minute window. Oh and just make sure to schedule your emergencies around the shift changes as it is very inconvenient to the staff.

I've been coming here for the pass few years with my daughter and I'll be here up until her release , mom and I will be here every second. This one nurse Sylvia I don't kno if she hates black people but she will not communicate with me at all. If my wife leave the room she will wait until she gets back to share details. I swear am here for help and I feel so horrible being here. If I had one wish is that my daughter never get sick again so I don't have to come back here. They are not heros here sorry. She was just here and ask my wife if she need anything and she didn't even look at me. She is so uptight and rude. I hope she gets replaced. This place is the worse. We need baby doctor in port colbrone and Welland.

Here's the verdict: Last year, I had the same douchey nurse in triage the two times that I'd previously been there. Yesterday, I was admitted for an e-coli UTI and a stomach flu, and the staff have been absolute angels this time around. My faith in this healthcare facility has been restored... And as an added bonus I got these really cute decorative lights, a new phone charger from the child life specialist, those cute grippy hospital socks, an endless supply of cranberry juice, and even a room all to myself.
