Great place to find game food (seal, moose, rabbit). I tried some seal fin meat pie which was interesting. The staff was extremely helpful and personable.

These guys have it all, was able to pick up a bunch of moose meat, wild berries and seal during my trip to Newfoundland to take home and force feed my family, highly recommend the staff was all on point and the best kind of people

I used to live in Toronto and there's all kind of bakeries there selling fancy named expensive breads. Artisanal, organic, stone milled, stone baked blah blah blah. In reality the best bread will always be a homemade loaf and bidgoods bread is identical to a regular homemade loaf. You won't find better bread than here

This store is a must see for folks coming over from the mainland. This reminds me of the classic hometown grocery stores that you would see in many parts of Canada but with a Newfie twist. Check out the authentic Homemade " delicacies such as Flipper Pie and assorted moose meat products. Pick up a jar of Partridge Berry Spread for your breakfast toast and catch up on the real Newfie jokes or history with a book from the extensive souvenir section. The excursion is well worth the time and money spent on the vacation to The Rock."

Great friendly staff! Great local produce, meat, poultry! Also best place to find Newfoundland specialty foods like deal flipper pie, moose sausage, etc! They even have a great little rear in area, plus lots of homemade bread on had brief on site!

Had rabbit pie here! Yes it's a grocery store with some Newfoundland meals You can eat it in or take it out. They gave me plates to eat my salad there and warmed my pie!

I liked that there us a special section where you can buy locally produced fruits and vegetables marked with Newfoundland flag. There is a small cafeteria inside with very decent prices of their own meals. I tried my fish cakes, which later bought home for myself to cook as well. Nice idea to try food and later decide if you want to buy or not

It’s a nice store has Christmas music playing but the one thing that kills is everything is way over priced it’s 3-4x more expensive then any store you go to I can get cheaper things in the gas station! They take advantage of that they are the only grocery store in Gould’s and over charge for everything, a family wouldn’t be able to survive on a minimum income shopping here for very long. Nice place everything is way to expensive, also they sell moose meat I thought you couldn’t buy moose meat at grocery stores there was some kind of law about selling hunted animals not 100% sure about this tho.

I went there at Christmas because they were the only supermarket in the St John's region that had duck for sale (frozen ). It was expensive but I only eat it once a year.lSp in reality it was 10 cents a day for the entire year. Well worth it.Bidgoods have everything a person could want. If you need something and can't find it on St John's, a trip to Bidgoods see hold be the plan
