I would rate negative Star if there were.Normally I do not criticize people on social media. But today I have to let my frustration out. Two week ago my car had been stolen and thanks to Peel police and Toronto police , they had recovered the car in the same day. I was asked to inform to Aviva the situation by Toronto police and to arrange the pickup( there are some damages need to repair) . But days after days , calls after calls, I could not get in touch with the agent taking care of my case. When I was able to speak with the other agents, they told me that they can not do anything because it’s not there case and they said they will pass the messages for the agent taking care of my case . Guess what, never received any thing. And how they name themselves as AUTO CLAIMS SPECIALIST?. I am very disappointed how they work.Ps : oh, just spoke with the other agent and was told that my case will be transferred to someone else. I will wait and see how far this will go .

So both our car and home insurance have been with Aviva for more than five years. We didn’t know Aviva is using Sedgwick to handle the claims. We had a car accident in mid December when travel to NYC, hit black ice, car totaled. Filed claim immediately after the accident. It is a straightforward claim, no injury, no third party involved, just the damage of the car. So it has been almost 3 months now, we haven’t received anything from the claim. Only two short phone calls from two different agent. Nothing has been done. Nothing has been reimbursed. Our personal items in the car haven’t shipped to us. No agent contacted us unless we chase. No adjuster gives us the quote. Just dead silence. Every time when we call Aviva, they said it’s handled by the third party. There’s nothing they could do. Is Aviva insurance a fraud? Are you purposely delaying or not paying us? How could I trust you if something happen to our house? Please pull our files from Sedgwick and resolve it ASAP!

Worst experience idling an auto claimMy truck was hit and written off over 3 months ago and they haven’t talked to me in over a month about anything.There ignoring my emails asking when it will be resolved.Only time some has talked to me is when they need something and they they don’t even respond to your emails.Zero stars

503277189 my accident report number because I was never provided a claim number.I would have given 1 start if the option is available for my frustration. This accident is my first experience and it happens in a parking lot. A tow person arrived from no where to support me when I needed help the most like picking up my children from after school program as a single parent. I contacted Aviva the next day and I was able to speak with an adjuster who sounded empathetic by telling me how collision centre body shop exploit people. She told me to remove my car from the Collision centre and I told her no problem but that didn't happen because of the work contract I signed with collision centre the night of the accident. This adjuster was ready to fight the collision centre to remove my car to their preferred body shop but I told her this will be a waste of time for me. I never heard from her again. The renter company called on Monday that my adjuster sent an email to cancel my renter because my claim is pending. I was never informed or updated as if I don't matter but the insurance continue taking out monthly payment from my account. I called the insurance yesterday and I was told the insurance company has not yet approved repairs on my car " we are not sure if we will be paying for the repair of your car." I paid my monthly premium to get support when in need but here I am stuck. I cannot believe this is happening.This is the third week if I'm not mistaken. I think I'm getting a backlash for not using the insurance company preferred body shop."

This is the first time we have ever had to put an insurance claim through and it is the worst experience ever. Our vehicle caught fire while we were driving and it is a total loss . Things looked promising they provided us with a rental car . Then the nightmare began , it took 3 weeks for an appraiser to contact us . They then transfered our claim to another department. And now the rental car is due to be returned and they come in with a lowball settlement offer and are basically bullying my wife into accepting their offer . They continue to tell us that we never had replacement costs on a financed vehicle. cutting us off our rental vehicle just to get us to settle. I have never seen anything as unprofessional as this insurance company . You are a client for over 10 yrs and you get treated as the enemy not the victim.

They don't pick up their phone at all. I've called multiple multiple times, I keep getting hung up on. Starting to think this is not an insurance company, they just take my money.

It’s really a love-hate relationship that I have with this company. When they mess up, they really mess up. They don’t make any sense. The general information line literally is useless it just has you hang up and call 10,000 other numbers to get to one place which is crazy. For example… “ if you’re calling about questions for your policy press 1” I press 1 “ for questions about your current policy. Please call 1-800…” and it’s like that for every option they just give you another phone number to call. I mean why can’t you just forward me to these numbers versus telling me if I need help with this I need to call this number and if I need help with that I need to call that number that’s frustrating. I didn’t call with a pen and paper ready, trying to find the numbers to call people to either make changes to my policy or to file a claim. Also, some of their procedures are a little outlandish or outdated, and literally have you jumping through hoops just to make a change or to undo some thing that they did wrong because the person you were dealing with was incompetent.But when they do know what they’re doing, and you do talk to somebody who is knowledgeable, they are very helpful. I have my issues resolved almost immediately and if it’s not immediate, they do their best to get an answer to me as soon as possible via email.
