Northern Taxi

We were in Timmins, Canada for the first time and the ride from the Airport to our AirBnB was awesome. Return trip to the Timmins Airport was great as well. Nice people driving. Timmins is COLD but the snow is beautiful - lol. Anyway, thanks for the service.

Terrible, absolutely terrible . They showed up out of nowhere, and tried to verbally persuade us into their cab. You could smell the cigarette instantly as soon as he rolled down the passenger window, and was as shady as could be. When we refused to get in, as we had called a much better Taxi company, the driver got angry quickly, insulted us, and speed off, sending sandy slush all over . When we called the number on the vehicle to report this, the dispatcher was instantly defensive, obviously did not care, and used some rather insulting terms. This is not the first time Northern Taxi has tried to steal a customer waiting to be picked up. The Driver in question is still seen driving the same cab number, and still thinks that he can get away with smoking in the vehicle as long as he sprays some cheap air fresher afterwards, and they refuse to do anything about it at the office.

After today I will no longer be ordering cabs from northern on the weekends. I always call at least 45 mins to 1 hour in advance and I usually have no problem but I always get the worst operator on the weekends (male) he's always rude doesnt say thank you or nothing basically acts like he doesn't even care about his job. Today in particular I ordered a cab and I had him answer the phone and treat me like garbage but when my cab didn't show up cause I usually order it for 5:45am or 6:45 because I have to be at work by 6 or 7am so I called and he picked up phone and yelled at me saying that my cab was on it's way very unprofessional and straight up ignorant. By the time the cab got to my house I was already going to be late for work and I was because they sent a cab driver who is in his 80s and he drives like a snail and can barely see or hear. I understand that it must be hard to find decent drivers but if you cant send me a cab on time at least I'll find somewhere else that will take my business.

When the taxi showed up, I walked towards the driver to make sure I\m not hijacking someone's else call. He didn't open the passenger window. Instead, gestured to me to put my stuff in the trunk. After I sat, I asked him if I was looking for my name. He said it didn't matter.As we approached the intersection of Mountjoy/Second Ave where he was supposed to keep going straight on Second ave, he made a right turn towards Mountjoy South. Whe he asked him why he's driving me an extra block he said it is one-way (it wasn't - third ave is one-way not second avenue).When I saw he was going to charge me for an extra block and $1.50 for using debit, I told him I was going to use my discount card (used among members of the Chamber of Commerce).When I asked driver 59 to apply the Member to Member" 10% discount (a Chamber of Commerce card)

Wrong business. These reviews come up if you search from A Northern Taxi in Illinois as well. Cant remove it, but here is 5 stars for just replying to me! Just so you know, this other business will ruin yours quickly.

Very friendly drivers and their prices are reasonable with a flat fee to the airport. I can't remember the name of the first driver but she was a doll and Shaun (I hope I spelt his name right) was extremely friendly and made the drive to the airport enjoyable! I highly recommend Northern Taxi 100%!

Polite, clean, and able to talk to driver and they know where you want to go, waiting with groceries, cab was 45 minute wait, and I am ready and willing to wait for a Northern Taxi....than to put up with the mentality of dealing with any driver from Vets. Being told off from Vets female dispatcher, being driven to wrong place or the longest way possible, not understanding the broken english, disrespecting customers, very bad drivers who have no idea how to drive or where you want to go....Don't call vets....Northern Taxi service rocks!!

Friendly service without a doubt ,although they take 10 minutes or more to get to you on any given day.Today Monday March 5th at 230pm waited 11minutes at the Moneta hotel. Decided to walk home at that point. Not the first time iv had to wait over ten minutes for yous to arrive. If you have a wait of that long your operator should be warning people of the wait she she Awnsers the call! ..
