Upper Canada Child Care at North Thornhill CC

My daughter was very shy at the beginning and would cry a lot. The teachers are patient with her and took good care of her. Now she loves going to school every day!

I give 4 star to the supervisor , but the staff , I mean they are nice but not qualified as teacher , for the basic supervision and communication , I did not see it . I just visited 2 days with my son but I don’t really feel comfortable to put him there so I withdraw the program. They took my $200 deposit fee. And I found out a physical behaviour problem, I need to talk to CAS (child aid society) . The supervisor emailed me the problems i mentioned and have solution for it . But it still . I hope they will do better. PS: There are over 20 kids on the preschool slide and there is no teacher stand beside ,you call they are doing their job? The girls were putting small plastic things on their mouth and they feed it to each other . If they doing their job why do I need to give up my deposit money and withdraw my son .

This review is long overdue. I sent my daughter to this daycare for a bit more than a year. I was very happy with the care and support that I've received from her teachers (Ms. Lily, Ms. Vaishali, Ms. Cecilia and Ms. Maryam). They were very patient with my daughter and explaining to us how her days went, and her strengths and challenges. I was very happy working together with them to help my daughter thrive and to prepare for the next step of her education. We were sad to have moved on from this daycare. A big shout out to the manager, Darlene, for her great communication and to the other admin staff and teachers too for making sure the place runs smoothly :)

Our son went to this location for both toddler and preschool programs. The staff are extremely caring, kind and detail oriented. The kids are happy and the environment is really friendly and clean. Also the management, Darlene, is very professional in dealing with parent's concerns and questions. There was a daily routine for all kids to sleep ~2 hours a day. Our son has/had a lot of energy and usually did not like to sleep during the day. The management and Staff took care of our son during the sleep hours by paying him more attention, reading him books and making sure he stays in bed until he learned that he should go with a routine. We strongly recommend this place.

This centre is amazing and highly recommended. The facility is clean, nicely decorated and, well maintained, with lots of books and appropriate toys. Linens are washed every week using the on-site washer and drier. And as others have mentioned, the nutritious meals and snacks are prepared freshly in-house.The kids are taken to the on-site library, park, splash pad, and near-by forest at times. There are also occasional field trips where they visit a forest school.All staff members and supervisors are outstanding. They are caring and provide a variety of interesting programs: baking birthday cakes, science experiments, nature studies, etc. Sometimes the activities are inspired by the children themselves which expands on their interests. The staff are attentive to the children’s needs.The teachers and supervisor put together a preschool graduation ceremony for the kids and you can tell they really cared about them. Our older child has now moved on to kindergarten but still says she misses the daycare. We look forward to sending our younger child there as well.

We had the privilege of attending NTCC daycare from the toddler room to senior preschool. The love and care that was felt for her each and everyday was amazing. Everyday she came home and had stories to tell and a huge smile on her face! Besides her coming home happy, she came home full. Food that I would make at home would not be eaten, only Ms. Anna’s food!! She learned so much and they did everything to prepare her to be successful in JK. Thank you for everything!

Both of my children went through the NTCC Upper Canada Child Care program. My children were well taken care of and safe throughout their time there. The educators are phenomenal. They really know the children well and spend the time talking to parents about what they see throughout the day and how you can help further work with them at home. The facility is very clean! And I like the fact that they are connected to a community center. There are frequent visits to the library, splash pad, green space and easy access to local forests, ponds, and parks. They take them on field trips to further the children's experiences. Thank you NTCC Upper Canada Child Care staff for all the great work that you have done and continue to do! We miss you!

Both my son and daughter have attended this child care centre and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The staff are very balanced, providing a nurturing environment while also encouraging independence and play based learning techniques. There is also a strong emphasis on creativity when it comes to role playing, arts n crafts or activities set up for kids. They regularly communicate with parents using an app to post photos and updates about what kids learn each week. They go on field trips as well as spend time in nearby forests and the library (something many other daycares can't offer since they're located in plazas). We also appreciate them recognizing all religious holidays and celebrating them equally. We'll miss seeing all their welcoming smiles once my daughter is ready for full time school soon. Thank you for providing peace of mind to our family over the last 7 years! You truly provide an underrated service to families like ours.

NTCC Upper Canada Child is a place I highly recommend to all the families in the community. The facility is very clean and well maintained. My daughter is very happy to go every day, they are have many different activities to played and learned. They are using an app to communicate with the parents by posting photos and update about the kids learn each week. The kids are taken to the library, splash pad, park and near-by forest. There also take the kids on field trips where they visit a forest hill school to learned a new experience. I’m very happy with the care, love and support from her teacher, Ms. Vaishali, Ms. Lily and Ms. Maryam. A big thank you NTCC staff and manager Darlene for great work and take care of my daughter.

NTCC (Upper Canada Child Care) is by far once of the BEST child care facilities in Vaughan / Thornhill. Our children (two) had the pleasure of spending collectively six years at NTCC and we speak very highly of the educators, practices and management. Over a six year period there was no turnover of the team. This speaks volumes! It's a great place to work, when educators are happy they stay, that means kids and parents are happy! The program and care offered to our kids was beyond expectations. Management and educators went above and beyond to care for our children. The child care facility is impeccable and as an added perk children at NTCC have access to public Vaughan facilities such as the splash pad, park, forest trails, community centre facilities (i.e pool), public library, etc. NTCC makes arrangements for kids to participate in programming outside of the child care centre (supervised by the educators). Our children had the benefit of swimming lessons, library programs, walks through forest trails, splash pad in the summer and so much more. The nutrition and meals offered at the centre are amazing! My children still ask for Ms. Anna's cooking. We love management and the educators dearly, they became our family and developed such an incredible bond with my children. It was so difficult to say good bye. I highly recommend NTCC (Upper Canada Child Care) to all families in the community. We are so lucky to have access to such a wonderful daycare centre and team.
