Bob's Shoe Repair

I have used Bob's over the past 10 years and have been very happy with the results every time. I've had the bottom of boots resoled, heels changed out, even had him sew back together my favorite pair of hunting boots. The price is very reasonable compared to buying a new pair of shoes and the services is always friendly with as fast a turn around as they can do. Highly recommend Bob's.

Great service -- I had some designer boots with a lace eyelet issue that they solved quickly and without ruining the boots! Also great for riding boots. Have had multiple pairs fixed there that have held up.

I have a pair of english riding boots and I called almost every shoe repair within 50 miles of Prior Lake and no one could fix my broken zipper because the zipper goes all the way down to the heel of my boot. I called Bob Shoe Repair and they said they could do it. When I got there the girl at the front instantly pop my zipper back in place and we began figuring out what was the problem. We ended up replacing the zipper and it looks like the boot was made with the zipper it has now. The zipper they put in it is way stronger then the one it originally came with. They were fast, helpful, and just did a excellent job in general with my boots. I definitely would recommend to anybody Bob Shoe Repair!

the zipper on my duty boots broke and I really did not want to spend the money on a new pair of boots. I found Bob's boot repair and brought them my boots. they gave me a very low price and did a great job fixing my boots! they also gave me a complimentary boot shine! I will definitely be back and will be telling my co-workers at the sheriffs office about their awesome customer service and great work.

After searching for repair options online, I discovered that my old Birkenstocks could be repaired for less time and money at Bob's Shoe Repair. I didn't have to send my sandals away and wait for them to be returned; instead I could support a local small business and be wearing them again in a week. I took my favorite pair of Birkenstocks to Bob's Shoe Repair to have the soles replaced. For about $60, they not only replaced the soles, but they fixed a crack in the cork footbed and treated the cork on both shoes. When I stopped by to pick them up, my sandals looked refreshed and ready for five more years of fun outdoor adventures. The people at Bob's did a great job and I definitely recommend them!

I brought in several pairs of very expensive designer shoes and boots for heel tip replacements. They did a great job. They brought life back to my suede boots. I was nervous to entrust them with my shoes, because shoes are my thing, but they did a fabulous job. They are also great at accommodating last minute fixes, I was leaving for a trip and needed some strappy heels fixed quickly. They were able to get them to me the next day.

Ever since Bob retired, things have gone down hill. I have been in 4 times in the last year and all 4 times they have screwed up. I'm done. I'm finding some place else to bring my repairs. All I got from the owner was excuses. If I could give no stars, I would. I've seen other bad reviews, I saw...heed them. Do not go here. It's not worth risking getting your things ruined on not returned. Paying upfront makes a refund all the more difficult. Too pricey for the risk.

This was my first experience with Bob’s shoe repair and I’m sharing my experience because I decided to use them because of the good reviews. I brought in a bag to have the zipper replaced (I brought the new zipper.) I had never had to do this before so I came in looking for a ballpark price on what it would cost. They were unable to tell me even a range, but said they would call with an estimate before doing any work. I was also told it would take between 2weeks and 1month. After about 3weeks I hadn’t received a call with the estimate, so I called to check in. They said they were running behind, but I should receive a call soon. Another month went by and I heard nothing so I called again. This time they told me my bag was ready to be picked up. I had never received a call with an estimate, so never approved it. I reluctantly asked how much it was and they said $60. That was a lot more than I was thinking and would never have approved it. It’s my favorite bag, but it’s not particularly expensive. I told them I didn’t understand why they went ahead and did the work without calling me with an estimate and that I was thinking it might be about $25. I was put on hold and they came back and told me that because I brought in my own zipper that they were going to lower the price to $30. The comment made no sense because they knew I brought my own zipper when they were going to charge $60. But I agreed to the $30 and went to pick up my bag. My bag looks horrible and the zipper isn’t even sewed in evenly. Very poor quality. I would not recommend them. Between the lack of communication, unprofessional comments, and poor work quality, I don’t think it would be worth it to try them for any other service.
