I often come to The Beaches just for this place and it’s super out of my way.That being said…I’ve stopped.They make a great reasonably priced lobster roll that I’ve had numerous times. It really is one of the best tasting lobster rolls I’ve had in Toronto. But, they have a habit of leaving pieces of lobster shell in the sandwich.Due to price and taste I ignored that for a little.But, I just find it too annoying.It’s a safety hazard and can hurt your teeth.I still give it three stars as it’s tasty and some people like others in my family don’t mind the occasional lobster shell piece.This review’s rating is solely about the lobster roll they sell.

One of my favourite spots in the beaches. The friendliest owners, the freshest fish (probably the best salmon I've ever had) and even my go to for sushi. Been going for many years and never had a bad experience.

I'm a proud Beacher who does everything they can to support local business; I also happen to be an avid fish eater — all of which is to say that I am desperate to patronize a shop like this but it seems that the people who run it aren’t interested in inspiring loyalty. Service is less than friendly or accommodating — for example they are reluctant to cut a piece to a specific size (you are expected to take it as is, even if it is more than needed). If you ask for the weight of a piece, you will be given a guesstimate, and if you ask that it actually be weighed, it will be done grudgingly. As for fish quality — it is unreliable. I’ve had some very nice fresh steelhead trout but I’ve also been sold fish that is clearly far from fresh. And then there are the celebrated lobster rolls which, while once excellent, are now scandalously overpriced, tiny and under-filled. Prepared sushi is very nice, though.Contrast this with not-so-very-far-away Hooked in Leslieville, where service is friendly and knowledgeable, fish is always fresh, and staff turn cartwheels to meet reasonable requests.The result is that I make my fish purchases at Hooked whenever possible and reserve the Fish House for when I don't have time to make the trip to Hooked.

Fresh fish and friendly and helpful service is the reason I shop from here every week. But they also have a nice variety of sauces and things to go with your seafood meal as well as take out sushi, chowders and the best lobster rolls.

BEST LOBSTER ROLL I'VE EVER HAD!!!! It was so tasty that I got emotional. I couldn't believe that food could taste that good and fresh. Bought a second round for myself and my friends. So worth the short journey out to that area!! Everyone's really nice there, Noah (sp?) was chatty and friendly :)

Cute little store and the staff are friendly but I got a lobster roll which was very small and underfilled for the price that I paid (I had bought it once in the past for $12+tax and it used to have a decent amount of filling). Disappointed and a complete waste of money.
