Breakfast was delicious! Very friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. The nameless wonder eggs Benny is definitely worth a try!Went back again 2 days later, still yummy!

This breaks my heart to leave this review. I was a regular here and used to be employed here. Almost all of the staff are simply amazing. The kitchen staff are very switched on and have a good sense of humor. I wish them all the best they are a great bunch. The management, however, on handling work place incident did not handle things professionally what so ever. I made a mistake 2 months ago as humans do. I made a thorough apology to all of the staff as what I did was not right even though it was meant to be a simple joke. We discussed things and then moved on with our lives. 2 months later, I am now banned from the diner because of that incodent. Simply to put things I felt stabbed in the back. I took on extra shifts when my boss was sick because I felt really bad about what happened. I hope this can be a learning experience for both of us. I'm going to miss coming here for breakfast and the great conversation and friends that I have made.

Love the retro theme ! Great and friendly service. Very busy and seems to have lots of locals back for repeat business. I've come back serveral times.

The folks at Five & Dime are a delight to be around. My sister and I go for brunch every few weeks, and will more often than not make the trip to Sidney from Victoria solely to see the staff here and enjoy their surprisingly celiac-friendly menu.

Really good old school diner breakfasts. Nice space, good service, slow kitchen (but worth the wait). Nothing extremely fancy but wholesome and filling. I will definitely return for breakfast when in the neighbourhood.

We love this place for breakfast on weekends the food is always good and the staff is great! However, we went there this morning to find rainbow pinwheels all over. This over the top virtue signaling is getting very tiresome. Don't judge me for my option, I am friends with all types of people, but frankly am getting tired of it being pushed in my face everyday. We walked away and went somewhere else for breakfast where people can be themselves without flags or rainbows. Yes accept everyone of course! But no need for the theatrics! Just one customers point of view but I don't think I'm alone!

I probably shouldn't spill the secret on this diner, but hands down one of the best breakfast places in Victoria. Service is friendly, wait times are minimal and if you do have to wait they will take your number and you can take a little walk. They have a creative menu and their Benny is my favorite in the city.

Bright, clean, fab food, and friendly people. I came for lunch. Decided to straddle the day—pulled pork pancakes. A great combo of savoury and sweet. Carmel sauce mixed in with syrup on the side. Delicious. Be warned—this is a filling meal. Great place.

Travelling through I stopped for breakfast. On recommendation of my server, I had the Everything Benny, and it was phenomenal. The pesto hollandaise really sold me. The staff were all really friendly and efficient and calling many customers by name. Obviously a well loved spot to eat and hang out. Can’t wait to visit again next time I’m nearby.
