Tobacco Outlet West Market

Used to spend a lot of money here pre covid but they have tightened their restrictions beyond what is reasonable. Not allowing customers to enter the humidor to see products is a little ridiculous compared to other cigar shops in the region. We also felt very rushed to exit as we could see the girl had started her close and was very inconvenienced to have us stay the extra 5 minutes to decide on our purchase.

I talked with a fella named Dave, He was helpful, knowledgeable and Funny! Although I was looking for Plum Pudding and haunted bookshop which they didn't have, and I understand why...He did Lead me to similar type tobacco. I like the idea that I can buy 20 G and try different varieties. I would shop there again and recommend to others.

Very poor customer service! Would never step in this store!The representative (a female in her 20's)was outside smoking a cigarette and talking on the phone, as i was about to enter she talked down to me, very rude and disrespectful and refused to let a service dog in (which is completely illegal).She literally talked to me as if she's doing me a favor she's even paying attention to me. Which makes me wonder, is that how this place treats customers?!?!Not sure what's her position and/or how long she been there but she literally didn't care.I explained nicely that it's a service dog and by law she must respect that , I had the certificate with me to show, didn't matter to her.When I asked her what's her name she refused to give it.I hope the owner reads this- I have many cigar smoker friends (high income), just for that attitude, ignorance and disrespectful way of treating customers I will make sure none of them will ever step in your shop! I walked away embarrassed, ashamed, discussed and feeling really angry.Il just add, I'm a business owner in the city, for more than a decade, this is not how you treat ppl who are looking to give you business, people who potentially help puting food on your table.Havnt decided yet if to go to BBB with that, this whole situation was VERY wrong!!!

I've been shopping Tobacco Outlet a couple times a week for the last year or so, and have been to their stores all over the city. Staff are always friendly, polite and knowledgeable. They sell quality products for a good price. I actually travel a few miles further than I need to, to get to my home store at Sirocco. Cheers to Dani & Dave who are always a delightful part of my day.

Awesome selection of loose tobacco, cigars and merchandise! Dave and Mike were super helpful in finding me the right product for my pipe smoking needs. I will definitely be returning!

Alex Gorina,I was the customer behind you when you were in the store, giving the owner a difficult time. To the owners credit, I had a feeling you were gonna hop on here to whine so here I am setting the record straight!First of all you walked in without a mask on and you were being difficult when asked to put one on. DING DING have you been living under a rock these last few months?? Second of all you were asking to physically touch and see items that were in closed packaging, IE nothing to see inside.The owner was doing the right thing adhering to the new COVID 19 protocols as every Calgary business owner should! After your escalated attitude, he had every right to ask you to leave the store and personally I got tired of waiting behind you listening to your whining that you can't touch every item that you're interested in!It's so very ironic how you said the owner was giving you a hard time when really you were the one making things difficult!!To sum things up, I had a perfectly fine experience after this.. guy was escorted out of the store and I would shop here again if I'm ever in the area.

I was treated very disrespectful in this shop. The owner literally kick me out from the store . it’s just because I have a feedback about his customer service. I’m a owner of a car dealership, and I have never get angry of my customers if the have anything to say about my service of my cars. This guy was not polite at all. As a Business man take it from me, if you keep being getting emotional with your customers and Act like a the boss. I suggest you to go take a courses how to be a good ownership. This feedback will help you to develop yourself. I understand probably you’re under pressure but you don’t have to involve your customers. Good luck and that was very very bad.
