Terry Fox National Historic Person Plaque

It has been updated a lot since my last visit. There's a center (that we didn't visit) a beautiful view, and a fantastic monument.

I like to stop by here from time to time for the view as I pass through.Clean. Lots of parking.Free as far as I know.

Terry Fox was such an inspirational Canadian - loved this memorial monument!

What a stunning place. The memorial is just beautiful. The view beyond the memorial, across the highway, is breathtaking. Lake Superior is a sight to see and sometimes you'll see ships going by. I just want to give a shout out to whoever takes care of this site. Very clean and wonderfully kept. Thank you for such a memorable time for our family. The kids loved it.(Side note: areas around our end of Lake Superior were quite foggy that's why I only have 1 photo but been here some time ago on a clear day, absolutely stunning)

The monument is well taken care of and is easy to get to. The views of the sleeping giant are amazing. Lots of information about Terry Fox too.I highly recommend stopping in if your passing by.

Great monument to a brave young adult. Lots of information regarding Terry's condition and journey and a beautiful stop to overlook the whole area. There are binoculars to help see boats on the lake, and distant shorelines as well.Plenty of parking, wheelchair accessible, bathrooms available and an information building which covers attractions in the Thunder Bay area.

Beautiful. We stopped randomly, and the lady who was at the info desk , Connie, was awesome!Very friendly... super knowledgeable about Thunder Bay area. The sleeping giant is quite a sight to see as is the giant Terry monument.I didn't get to go too far around in park as I was on a time limit but I would definitely return and check out the remaining parts.

This is quite a unique memorial to Terry Fox and his legacy of will and passion. This is a quiet location which overlooks the area of Thunder Bay and gives great meaning to his legacy. You can't help but be moved by being in the presence of his life-size statue. Go, it's worth it. Cheers, Spicy Jan

BEAUTIFUL SPOT!! WORTH THE STOP if your passing through Thunder Bay, ON---》Side note...check out kakabeka falls provincial park.... not far from here.《---You do not need to buy tickets. There is an information building which is pet friendly and has alot of useful information about Thunder Bay and surrounding areas including Manitoba. Washrooms Nd bulding are clean. The young lady who was working today was absolutely AMAZING! She was very helpful and had lots of good information about the area. She had a joy for her job you could tell she loves what she does. She asked if we were passing by or from the area and if we knew where we were going to stay the night. We were just passing thru and didnt know where we were planning on staying the night. The young lady suggested that we go check out Kakabeka Fall provincial park and also gave us a list of motels/hotels with phone numbers from Thunder Bay to Manitoba.*** I really wish i got the young ladys name so i could make a good compliment to her boss for her. :) she had dark brown curly hair wore glasses, skinny and advrage hight.**♡
