Dave does a great and thorough job! He inspects and charges our extinguishers annually so we know we can always rely on them. He sells extinguisher's too (I bought one to keep in my truck). He recently stopped by our new office to make sure everything was up to code (including our lighted exit signs). He's professional and friendly and will go out of his way to take care of your fire safety needs.

I needed my home fire extinguisher recharged after foolishly pulling the pin. Dave was in the same area as me and was able to get me squarred away quickly. Super nice guy, I will be reaching out to him again if i come into any future fire safety issues. Thanks Dave!

Bay Area Fire & Safety stopped by my shop today, checked, serviced, and sold me a fire extinguisher. They were professional, competent, thorough and friendly. Price was more than fair too. Highly recommend.

Our issue to Dave was our fire detectors in our home went off for 5 minutes in the middle of the night and then stopped. Not sure why. He came over and checked all the fire alarms and changed the batteries. We have about 8 in our home. My husband and myself reached ages were we are no longer able to safely do this ourselves. He charged very little and said if I still had problems, he would change them out. He was very polite, helpful and on time. I would recommend him to anyone.

A few months ago I was in need of someone to help me with my smoke detector problem. Every once in a while one of them (there are 4) would go off for no apparent reason, and I would be unable to turn it off. I would ultimately have to flip the circuit breaker in the utility room to end the noise. I had no idea who to contact and then I thought of the man who services our fire extinguishers at my office. That person was Dave Nofftz from Bay Area Fire & Safety, LLC.I contacted Dave by phone and left a message because he was unavailable to take the call right away. He later texted me that he was in the Upper Peninsula and would give me a call upon his return to Traverse City. He did just that and we set up a day and time for him to come to my home to check things out. Since I work also, he said he would contact me when he was headed to my home and we could meet there. When I got to my house he pulled into my drive right behind me. He spent about an hour to hour & a half checking the four detectors and took the time to explain to me how smoke detectors work and what to expect from them. He was very patient with my questions and answered them in a way that I could understand.I would highly recommend Dave to anyone who is in need of this type of service. He was courteous, on time, patient, and very accommodating. He charged very little for his time; I expected a much higher bill for the time he spent. He also made me much more comfortable with the way smoke detectors operate. Thank you Dave!

I highly recommend Bay Area Fire and Safety because they handled my service professionally and thoroughly even though I was a miniscule customer compared to other customers.I spoke with owner David via phone who graciously agreed to meet me at my convenience in a public park, masks donned. In my home, I'd had 4 fire extinguishers for many years, though fortunately never had to use them, but felt they should be inspected due to their age. David did so, and also thoroughly educated me on how to use them.David's company is relatively new, but his experience with fire suppression equipment goes back years, I learned. He even has experience using extinguishers in real-life situations! Besides being knowledgeable, David was courteous and totally patient with my questions. He even willingly gave me some advice on where to find service for some un-related items, which I needed because I just moved to TC.And on top of this excellent service he absolutely REFUSED to take any payment from me !!!!
