I had rented a hot water tank for about 8 years from them. The person who did the house calls was amazing however dealing with the company was not. I went all electric this year and no longer need their hot water tank. The removal of the tank cost $500 to take a disconnected tank out of my basement. I asked for more info on why so much $? None of the answers I felt explained it. I asked for someone to call me that could explain how they can change so much. No one did. I had no choice but to pay. They don't care because I'm no longer a customer. My advice is to buy your own tank, even better go electric we are saving a bunch, it's cheaper and cleaner. My house and water have never been so warm.

Update: I emailed the contact listed in the owner's response below but did not receive a reply. I received a third bill today two months after having the water tank removed. When phoning the company, noone knows who I should talk to for a manager, or who does the billing, or why I haven't had the charges cancelled. They don't have any phone numbers to refer me to another office directly.Original:Like others, I had good experience when this was Bluewave. However, I wanted to end my water tank rental years ago (I'd been on a lease for a decade) and noone ever returned my calls. Three years of still paying $28/mo rental on a 13 year old tank and I got another company to put in one that I bought outright. Ultramar wanted to charge $115 to remove their tank. I said it was already removed. They said I could buy out the lease for $1 and dispose of it myself which I agreed to. They have continued to charge me the rental for two months. I've called twice and was told the second time that the person who looks after that has been off work for several weeks". I have filed a dispute with my credit card company."

This is terrible customer service. My tank is empty and they have not filled it despite 3 phone calls. Now they wont fill it on emergency service unless my furnace turns off. I bought a new oil tank from them, a 200/yr service plan, and pay my bills early every month. I am on auto delivery. They never fill it until I beg after 3 phone calls every month. I am switching to a new supplier. Hopeless. They must be in a bad financial situation if they cannot send a truck out unless your furnace goes off.

They used to be a great and understanding company however since they were bought out and are no longer Bluewave service has been rotten. In Nov 2018 I requested my oil tank be filled. They did not fill it but instead put half fuel in it. Fast forward to tonight, oil tank empty and I only just notice on the receipt they did not fill it fully, it is on me.I missed this on the receipt left at my door, but I asked for the tank to be filled, the oil should have lasted until end of Feb. I called the emergency line and spoke to someone who had very little empathy said she would ask the driver to call me but likely they would not deliver because I was not on automatic delievery and if he did it would cost me $150 emergency fee. Well no one called us back, not even to say they'd not be coming. This is not the service I expect from a company. Give me back the Bluewave I chose as a trusted company when I signed up with them 10 years ago....Edit: issue resolve this morning. That's the customer service I expended.

Was in a very tight spot in terms of needing an oil delivery. Tammy did all she could to get oil delivered as fast as possible. She was very polite, professional and helpful. She left me with very positive feelings towards Bluewave.

Ever since the business transitioned from Bluewave to Ultramar the service has been extremely poor. We placed two oil orders in the past 4 months and both were unsuccessfully delivered because they failed to call us beforehand so we could unlock our shared gate to facilitate delivery as indicated in our account file. The only reason we found out that they were unsuccessful is because we called them, pressed them to know why no oil had been delivered in a week when we had been told it would come in a couple of days. Initially they said they were too busy but when we said that that was unacceptable the customer service agent informed us that there had indeed been attempts. They were too busy because they were making failed attempts delivering oil, wasting their time not properly consulting their account files to properly complete their orders. After my husband finally got a hold of manager, Adam Gibson, we were promised by him on a Friday before a large snowstorm that oil would be delivered within a couple of hours. We were so relieved. And then, no oil was delivered at all that weekend. We were so disappointed. We had to keep the house at 15C to try to make it until Monday when another provider would be able to fill up our tank. We spent the weekend worrying our tank would run out and our pipes would freeze. I was also sick and most grateful to have an electric blanket on hand to keep warm. The one star given to this review is for Tammy and Shannon who graciously took our calls and tried so very hard to remedy our situation. What a shame that their understanding and sincere efforts where undermined by their unprincipled manager and his lack of leadership.Update: After reaching out to Ultramar, we received a sincere apology from the manager for the missteps that occurred and confirmation that some procedures have been implemented to ensure that this ordeal never happens again.

They were great at first when they were Bluewave, then they charged me for oil I didn't ask for (I was set up so that I was to call any time I needed oil), within weeks of getting $500 worth of oil put into my account. This amount was over $300. I was given no chance to budget for it and they were adamant that even though it was an accident on their driver's part, who was supposed to deliver it to a different house on my street, I had to pay. I am very unhappy with how they handled the situation. I don't believe I should have had to pay for an employee's mistake.I am currently still paying this off and have asked them to close my account once it is paid. Apparently they've done this before to someone my fiance works with on more than one occassion and made him pay as well. Will not recommend these guys!

I have found Blue Wave to be reliable and they provide good service. They automatically fill up my tank pretty reliably (I only had to call them once when it was getting too low.) The service technician who cleans and repairs my furnace is a really nice guy. I really haven't had any problems with them.

Wish I could give less. They are suppose to do automatic deliveries for me. They put out a ticket on April 6th, it's now April 14th and still no delivery. Even though their trucks have been out here in my area multiple times and we have called twice to be told the last time we would get the delivery that day (April 13th).

Unreliable service and poor customer service. Called them 10 days ago but failed to deliver oil, finally running out. Despite advertising that they offer emergency service; they don’t. All of this is consistent with past and recent reviews.
