Magic Dollar on Denman

The inventory is ever-changing and they often don't have what I'm looking for. But I sort of enjoy shopping in this store, as it is small but packed with stuff and the prices are certainly affordable.The main reason I go back (other than location and convenience) is that the Asian women who run this store are very pleasant. Quite the opposite of cold and aloof like some places, almost everyone is greeted here, and it's casual but attentive. I like supporting small, local, businesses, so even though I often don't find what I'm on the hunt for, I always pop in again at some point.I'd also suggest asking them about what you are searching for. They will special order items in for you too, call when they've arrived. It helps them to know what inventory to bring in, as well.I'd like to see a lot more higher-quality items here (I'd rather pay a bit more for something I like and that lasts, which is becoming more and more challenging in this throwaway culture), but do give this place a chance if your expectations and standards are on the low, generally easy to please, end. The staff and service make it worth coming back.

It’s a nice place but a little bit crowded. There are all you need like Dollarama but no food. The prices are varied and from 1$ to more than 10$ also. Some items looked better quality than Dollarama

This store is awesome. I am assuming that it is the owner that works there. She knows exactly what they carry and knows where it is located. She actually shows you where it is and offers to get you more if they don't have enough on the shelf. She has even offered to special order for me if I buy a minimum order. Where else do you get this kind of service?? You have to shop here and support this merchant.

I had a pleasant in person visit today. The single staff greeted to Each of the customer in a friendly manner. He also went above an beyond to assist multiple elderly with technology advice (charging cable selection), and other household hardware inquiry. The classical music running in the background made it a soothing shopping experience. I will visit more! ❤️

Nice little dollar store. Prices are not a dollar lol but definitely worth checking out. I found some very great gem items that I couldn't find anywhere else. Staff is friendly. So definitely check it out

Friendly staff and you can find everything you need here. The location is also super easy to walk to if you’re downtown. Recommended.

This is a great dollar store! Unassuming, wide variety, stuff you would find in an og dollar store not typical dollar tree junk. If you need something, they will probably have it! Owners are very friendly too :)

A great little convenience store with a surprising selection of kitchen, household, and hardware items. It's my first stop in the West End for little items before I go to a hardware store. Staff always seems polite and friendly, helpful too, when I can't find what I'm looking for!

I went to this store to purchase helium balloons for a birthday party. I picked them up the day before the party to save some time. Before the day was out some of the balloons had deflated and by morning they were all down. I've purchased balloons from other stores and have had to pop them because they lasted so long. Now don't think they were cheap either. $25 for 9 balloons. When I returned to the store the clerk just looked at me like whats the problem" She refused to replace
