Produce Depot

Prices are insane ! I assumed because this was a produce store the prices would be cheaper than going to Walmart or other grocery retailers… big mistake. I walked in and did a round of the store before walking right out. For comparison I took pics of prices and one pic of the same raspberries from Walmart. Not worth it if they’re selling the same brands as Walmart. I’d pay the premium if I was getting locally sourced fruit/ veggies.

Produce Depot personnel/management is professional and very nice, but I heard and observed on different occasions that the Deli Meat shop has a high employee turnover. The manager of this shop is controlling, arrogant and micromanages employees. May I recommend to send this lady for some Management/Customers service training courses. I think it would be beneficial for her and for the shop. As for me, i will never buy deli meat from this store again. Thanks

This place is a hidden gem. This is my go to for meats and produce as they are best in the city. You can also find produce and cuts of meat not carried in big box stores. The quality and price is unbeatable. I have never walked by the meat section and said yuck, which I cannot say about any other grocery store that I have been to in the city. I also really love that they carry locally baked goods or pickled veggies, gotta love stores that support local!

Went to pick up my cases of oranges and grapefruit for a Canterbury High School fundraiser. Easy to get to location.I have been here other times to buy my fruit and vegetables of which there is a large selection. Good prices also.Many ethnic products and bakery items available not found at other stores.Free parking available, and a spot can always be found.

Great location. AMAZING and fresh produce. So much variety always available. Great deals all the time. Even the rye bread selection and pricing is the best around. Staff is friendly, helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and always goes the extra mile. I'll definitely be back again soon. Thank you.

The incredible diversity of fruits and roots, fresh mushroom the list goes on. Honestly the best part of this place is the fact that you can literaly throw a stone and you'll find the competition and I'll cross the street everytime to go to Produce Depot. You honestly can't beat the price it makes me sick when I go to big box grocery because you can see how much they've been profiteering on the recent inflation when compared to their neighbors.Anyhoo Shop here you won't regret it, there's a real butcher and fresh fish. just go.

From the last time I visited Produce Depot (October 2022) till the most recent visit Sunday 15th, the place has dwindled down so strong it seemed like a store from the third world country outlets, no regulations no standard no quality,. While picking some fruits I had to put back number of them on the side and was looking for any worker to check on it, no one in site, even though I was trying to be very careful, I still managed to pickup up couple of rotted mandolin fruits , and I threw them away, yet an expensive sealed cheese (or seemed to be seated) to be fully rotted from one side , this is really a tick off and I couldn't believe myself looking at it. Why should I go there anymore, more expensive worse quality lack of choices and hardly any one to answer any question. WHATS WRONG?!!!

I don’t review grocery stores often but this place is phenomenal. Every fruit and vegetable you can think of fresh, with reasonable prices. They also have a great fish and meat counter. Unfortunately, the baked goods and packaged food selection isn’t great.My favourite of all is by the cash they have a great selection of exotic fruits. I always try to grab something new to try (picture included)
