I was in Ottawa from Winnipeg for business .. happened to walk Mango’s when someone was coming out .. the smell drew me inside as I was very hungry and wanted to find out what the smell was.I never had Shawarma before then so .. I got 1 beef & 1 chicken and couple pieces of fried chicken and went back to my hotel room to eat.It was the best tasting fried chicken that I have ever had and the Shawarma was really incredible.I have tried finding similar quality / tasting Shawarma in Winnipeg / Calgary but have never found anything that even remotely compares to this place.

The food is decent. However, there are two workers there who are always underserving for the amount of money that you are paying. The amount of food you get doesn’t look like what’s on the photos. When I got food there a few days ago, I firstly underserved for the amount of money I paid and there was something a hair like gooey green thing in my food.

Shawarma Mango's - Alta Vista
I like to go to Shawarma Mango's mainly for their fruit cocktails and their mango surprise drink. They use fresh fruit and mix your drink infront of you in a blender. I think the food is also good, in flavor, price and serving portions. The staff are friendly and provide great service. The interior and their booths of the restaurant are dated. However the restaurant is clean. This is a good place to bring family for a fair priced good tasting meal. I have been here several times and will keep coming back I think you will like it too.If you like my reviews, photos or videos why not join me and raise your mug of Mango surprise and enjoy the sweetness of the day.

Tbh, their shawrma wasn’t authentic as I expected and the portion they give is not as generous as what Shawrma Palace is offering. We had a take out order and I just liked their juice and shakes which were very fresh and delicious.

Shawarma Mango's - Alta Vista
The hamburger is really tasty. The fried chicken is also good but very very salty so be careful. The smoothies are very good. Garlic patatoes. The garlic sauce and the tabouli here are the best in the city. Not a huge fan of there shawarma but its still top 5 in the city for sure. Only thing is service is a hit or miss sometimes depending on whose serving you.

Shawarma Mango's - Alta Vista
A staple in the shawarma scene of Ottawa and one of the places that will stand out. The taste is great with flavors that many other places do not use. I will say though that the garlic sauce could use some work or added variety. The current one has a nice lemon mildness but not the intense garlic taste that some will want. I would love to see a variety of options like a spicy one or garlic heavy offered in the future.The potatoes are delicious but could use a re fry when given to order to make them crunchy. But that is a personal preference.

Amazing food and great hospitality by the owner, Mr. Jalal. Food was fresh and tasty as well. I work very close to this shawarma place and I visit them every time I am in office.

Shawarma Mango's - Alta Vista
I haven't been here for a while but when I'm in the area I drop by. The food is generally very tasty, good portion sizes. However I am not a fan of their fried chicken, it's usually dry. My husband enjoys their smoothies. Why do they call it a Café though?
