2018 Special Olympics National Games Antigonish

We have hosted our National Games at StFX. The experience the athletes had was unforgettable. Antigonish is such a welcoming community. The Charles V. Keating Centre was a fantastic venue for the Opening & Closing ceremonies, while the new Oland Stadium was perfect for athletics at night with the lights. The newly renovated Oland Centre was also ideal for basketball. Accommodations are great, including StFX Hotel, the upscale residence rooms of StFX converted for a hotel for the summer. Meals were also very good, affordable and healthy at the Dining Hall. Be sure to explore the town and its surroundings when you visit StFX & Antigonish!

I have worked with the StFX Conference Services team and they always go above and beyond. They are completely professional, and ensure that anything they can take off of your plate so you don't need to worry, they do. From pre-event, on-site support (Catering, Technical Services, Set-up) to follow-up post-event, they are wonderful to deal with. Highly recommend working with them, so you can focus on your meeting/event. They are very accommodating and professional.

StFX Conference Services
Last year, my husband and I chose to return to STFX for our rehearsal dinner and wedding. We had a welcome BBQ at the Golden X Inn on the Friday and our wedding ceremony and reception at Crystal Cliffs on the Saturday. Kristy, the STFX event coordinator, and the conference team went above and beyond for both nights - the venues, food, drinks, etc were all great. Even though we were planning our wedding from Toronto, Kristy made us feel completely comfortable and confident that everything was being carefully taken care of by her and her amazing team. Thanks for making our wedding weekend so memorable and very special.
