I arrived a month early for my appointment like a confused silly fool after driving from Nakusp, and the Ambulatory team and Dr. Dobson made it happen anyway. You guys rock, thanks for bringing the care into Healthcare!

I arrived around 8pm with a medical emergency, my triage nurse was so kind and attentive, she listened to my needs and took me seriously, and then took action. I had arrived with my husband and son, and she was so sweet to check in and give my son some snacks and a juice box. My cardiologist was also very attentive and gave such good care. We're new to the Kootenays and I'm just so impressed with the care we received. Thanks again to the hardworking caregivers at this hospital.

Many times I was given inadequate care and so was my family at the Trail emergency. My own Trail family doctor was absolutely fantastic but going to the Trail emerg is risky business. Usual wait can be 6-8 hours as there are no walk in clinics. So if your kid breaks an arm etc - you are waiting in that condition and by that time they need surgery. In our case they asked us to come in after the weekend (broken hand all weekend that was tenting the skin) and surprise! they didn't have his name on the list. So, we came back the next day for surgery (4 or 5 days with a broken hand). When I politely complained - the surgeon/doctor said he could make my kid wait longer for surgery with a broken hand if he wanted. So that was that. I didn't want to offend him more. Story after story. Drive straight to Kelowna if you need emergency care.

I want to thank the Dr's and nurses for saving my spouse's life (Karen Cayer). I won't go into the hospital in another area that took five hours to find out my spouse's appendix was in serious trouble. Dr' Cameron (hope that is correct) performed emergency surgery that same night of her admittance, and it was discovered she could have died within hours from the infection. Stop giving negativity to this Hospital, hey they are all human and frustrated with over work and an incompetently loosed minded Liberal Government that has Screwed health workers across Canada. Thanks Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, I get to snuggle my Honey Berries" hopefully for another 28 years! All the Drs

I can’t say enough good things about the staff at this hospital. I was in the area from the US for backcountry skiing and unfortunately struck a tree, resulting in severe and significant injury to my pelvis. The staff was efficient, professional, competent and worked very quickly to get me stabilized and comfortable. They then worked to get me transferred back to the US for surgery, which went extremely smooth. I can’t thank them enough. You all should be very proud.-A fellow nurse turned patient

Staff are good do the best they can considering the entire health care system is underfunded. That said I would like to give the food a -5 rating. I spent 10 days there and there were very few meals that were fit for consumption. I cannot understand how you can tell patients to eat a healthy diet then serve then overly processed food loaded with sugar.
