Shoppers Drug Mart

Maybe I'm just unlucky, but whenever I come to pick up my prescription the time spent in line is excruciating! I also often find the 'customer service' with the various pharmacy workers to be lacking and the message they often deliver seems to be that it's somehow the fault of the customers for the increasingly poor service.I also don't appreciate the policy that when an item is not scanning properly (or if it does not have a tag) it is the customer's responsibility to walk back down the aisle to look for a price and/or a new item with the tag. This just happened to me last night and I found the clerk to be quite rude. With so many options in town I will be transferring my prescriptions to another business.

I want to provide a big shout out to Brianna. She is absolutely amazing an the customer service she provided was fabulous. I'm an avid shoppers customer and I will now travel to this location just to make sure I give these guys business. I have never seen such a rude and ethically on a very low level pharmacist in my life. I am referring to the male pharmacist named Arash. My wife got a prescription last week which was not available and since she was in pain, I had to rush to another store to buy the alternate.After a week, she consulted the doctor again for an antibiotic prescription and asked my son to go and pick up the medicine from the pharmacy. He went and came back with the old prescription which had costed $39. The assistant pharmacist didn’t ask her which prescription is needed despite seeing a new and fresh prescription, gave her the older one, and my son obviously unaware of the entire situation picked up whatever given. I went back to the pharmacy where the assistant pharmacist admitted her mistake that’s she didn’t ask about the prescription and just assumed the one from the last week is required. She completely ignored the new prescription that had arrived a couple of hours ago only. but the pharmacist Nancy Bathh said that we can’t do the refund for the dispensed medicine. This was a packed nasal drop and the pack was not tampered at all. She ultimately referred to the day time pharmacist, the owner. When I reached there today (26 April 2022), he simply asked me to leave the pharmacy and to do whatever I want to do. I was shocked to hear when he categorically said it’s not their fault and they don’t take it back, and you just leave the pharmacy immediately. I couldn’t make a scene there. He didn’t bother to return the product that he had sold and simply told me to get lost. I am new to Bowmanville so didn’t know many stores in the area. The staff is not bad but the man is worth getting a kick someday somewhere. I hate to return to this store ever again. Told my doctor to send all prescriptions to another location.Also, the first impression of the lady working at the post was not good either. She too looked rude and ungracious.

This has always been one of my favourite shoppers drug mart location since I moved in town. I have been to the one on king st and on my every visit Me and hubby both had pretty bad experience and disappointed, but this has been my favourite one.All locations have busy pharmacy but the staff here has always been polite and very helpful even though they’re running around during busy time. Store is very well organized and never been disappointed with the service.

I’ve been shopping there for almost 2 years. The post office lady is so knowledgeable and professional— at Christmastime there were long lines and she worked so hard and was so nice to everyone who needed help with postage. The pharmacist team are all very professional- they are well informed about medications and provide excellent advise on many things. They always acknowledge anyone remotely close to the counter, and always greet people with a smile. My last pharmacy kept partially filling my prescriptions so I would have to come back repeatedly— not here— never shorted- always meds in stock. Merchandisers keep store shelves looking great, always something of use on sale. The cosmetics staff do great makeup (tiny fee for what they do) and are also very helpful.The main cashier is quick and efficient, she bags exceptionally well, and is always very knowledge about the sales items and Shoppers Optimum points- over all, a really great store with really nice people working there. I’m so glad I chose them to be my pharmacy!

This is one of the best pharmacies I've ever used in my life. I used it when I lived in Bowmanville 4 years ago. The main younger pharmacist at this time was very friendly and made you feel like every customer was important. Except for one older man with an accent, who played favourites and made the customers he felt were less important wait longer, but I didn't see him nearly as often as the younger pharmacist, so I won't let one bad employee take away from all the great experiences I had over the couple years I went here. Great hours as well, unlike most other pharmacies. Highly recommended.

Great place. Very organized and friendly staff. You can find a great variety of products: medicines, toys, gifts, makeup, perfumes, cards/gift cards, electronics and gaming.

When I took a minute to read over some of the negative reviews of this Pharmacy I question wether these people are thinking of some other Shoppers all together? My experiences have been nothing but kind,, friendly, helpful, informative visits at this location which our family has used for many years. We have actually come to know many of the staff through the years and enjoy our visits here whenever we need a Shoppers Drug Mart. I strongly would recommend this pharmacy as an excellent choice if you are looking for a new pharmacist, Mrs Travis and her staff have never made us want to consider looking anywhere else for our pharmaceutical needs.They do an amazing job at this Longwoth Shoppers.

I went to the pharmacy there Dec 5th twice and today in the morning. I had my prescription for the week transfered there as I live in Scarborough and I was to work in Newcastle for the week I was told all three times that my prescription had not been faxed. Called the doc and he confirmed that he had indeed faxed the info. I felt a bit of predjice but either way that pharmacy staff is useless. Thanks bowmanville. Good job.
