I went here for biometrics collection and made an appointment beforehand. I was in and out of the building in less than 10 minutes (spent half of the time figuring out where to go). Definitely expected a bad experience as is typical with these services, but the man at the collection booth was helpful, clear, and treated me with respect.

One star because it needs a few changes.First of all, I went for sin number service. I tried to book and appointment, then received a call back informing that it may be more than a month to do so and was advised to literally walk in. So far so good.Got there at 10:45 after reading a few reviews and decided wasn't worth to arrive before 6 to leave 9:30. It was, indeed. Line was long and slow moving. But this part was nice and organized. Finally hit the booth inside at 13:20. So roughly 3 hours waiting. The simple service of requesting a copy of my sin number took me almost 30min. The person was slow, like spent almost 5min looking for an specific magnifier to check my id's. Not satisfied with the sloth movement, she started chit-chating with a coworker about something that was completely outside of my request. Then my papers were printed and she was moving the papers around for more 5 minutes, just changing the orders of them!!! I don't know how you can not put in the specific order in the first time. I mean, it's 4 files, how much organization 4 pieces of paper requires?Anyway. Just be advised to be very patient, there is WiFi to keep you distracted but no where to sit. Imo not worth arrive before 6, or even 10, you are going to wait 2-3h no matter the time you arrive.Good luck.

Went there to get my passport done yesterday. Everyone was so nice and helpful, the lovely woman in charge on the line told us everything we needed and helped direct us through the whole day. Everyone at the desks were also very patient, polite and helpful.

Was here for my SIN. Reached at 8 a.m. and I was the first one in the line. Office opens at 8.30am and I got my SIN in 15 mins. Very smooth and easy process. Friendly employees.

I came here to get my SIN number. All the staff I've encountered are very kind and warm, including the officers and cleaning staff. Thank you

Service Canada federal agents at the counters are immensely kind and sincere. But the federal agent security officer (ground floor) is rude, arrogant and makes hand gesture, slightly banging on the table to get my attention. Not a first time, but this is the 2nd time he gives bad taste visiting the Service Canada centre. My first time, I let it go, but this time, I was told by someone working there that a lot of people complain the same. I was told to file an official complaint, but no, I am not. I wish him a success in his career but hope that he is retrained for proper customer interaction. He seems selectively kind only to a certain type of visitors (e.g. gorgeous beautiful looking black African young lady etc)Another security agent (perhaps a private) who is a young lady by the lobby inside the glass encased security monitor room by the building's entrance is silently condescending on my gentle approach when I was inquiring about direction to the newly renovated Service Canada office. She was sitting in slouch manner, inclined back, one arm up around her chair. just intently GLARING at me without saying anything, not even a nod, just a lazy gesturing into a direction. I don't know if I was bothering her while she is in a bad mood or what? I wish that she changes her behavior so that she can be successful in what she does and not becoming nuisance to visitors to the building. Was it because I looked Asian or what? Not all Asians are Chinese. They could be Korean or Japanese. Just because you look Latin does not mean that you are from South America.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the conduct of the security guard on duty at Canada service center. During my recent visit, I had an unpleasant interaction with the guard that left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. The guard spoke to me in a very rude and disrespectful manner, making me feel like I was in a harsh military prison. I felt belittled and disrespected by his behavior, and it seemed like he was taking pleasure in making me feel uncomfortable. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy by the staff. Unfortunately, the behavior of this particular guard fell far short of those expectations, and I hope that steps will be taken to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.Thank you for taking the time to address my concerns.

The African Canadian Man at the Passport Desk is literally the definition I hate my job, I don't care and screw you. I have worked goverment jobs, minimum wage jobs and free/intern. I would never act and behave like I don't care about you or anyone and provide bad service. If you don't like your job quit and if you can't quit well your being paid to do a task for the goverment at least try to be friendly and act nice. I would fire in my opinion alot of people would like to have his job and at least pretend to be happy.
