we ordered qurbani ka goat meat on day 1. First it was way too overpriced and the quantity was less than what we were told we were going to receive. Also compared to my other friends who got it from other places, it was way less. On top of that customer service was so rude and unhelpful and not willing to listen to us.

This place is amazing. Very courteous staff; Helps customers in getting grocery items; staff is trained as well. Deep frozen items are mostly gone quickly but everything else is available in bulk. Please ask deep frozen foods to stock more in the freezers. Best grocery place in Durham region. Meat section is the largest in the region. Great work guys.5 out of 5!!

Amazing! Found everything I needed. Freshest meat! Great produce and all kinds of halal products! Loads of freezers of products as well. I have been driving to the original location for many many years because nothing beats the selection at Iqbal foods! Authentic Indian and Pakistani brands. Go! They have things that are hard to find in any other stores. A very welcome addition to Ajax!!!! The store is spacious, aisles are big and well lit. They haven't officially opened yet but is open as they are training and stocking. Grand opening Friday February 25th!Update: Had a chance to go back today and the shelves, vegetable section and freezers are all fully stocked! They have price checkers now posted as well. The meat section now has a ticket system with numbers being called for custom orders and no waiting for as-is" cuts. Such a welcome addition to AjaxUpdate - went quite a few times this summer for amazing selection of Pakistani and Indian mangos!!!"

I went to buy halal meat. I asked the guy to give 8 chicken leg quarters with no skin. He said we have 10 lbs bag of chicken leg quarters ready in bag without skin. I took and when I came home I checked the weight on my kitchen scale. It was 7.5 lbs. So I went back again today and bought the same thing,came back home and weighed it again, it was less than 8 lbs again. By the way I checked my scale twice if it is calibrated and it's working fine. I am going to call the appropriate authority to check on this matter.

Came here knowing it’s a large branded halal grocery store… finally in Ajax!The place was clean although sometimes aisles or areas can be crowded when they are restockingEveryone there is extremely friendly. So that’s always nice.Price wise - everything is just expensive! everything…. You can shop cheaper at the other local area grocery stores for veggies or common perishable food items.So now only coming here for the halal meat - it’s still does get busy in the meat section at times but the wait goes quickly. Everything else not halal/specifically not Pakistani I haven’t bothered buying.The meat is fresher compared to surrounding meat stores - they sell a lot so it’s constantly moving which is good.They do have packed bags (probably 5lbs) for $50 of boneless thighs or breasts if you need to pick up in bulk of one kind.Another unique aspect of this place is it sells a lot of authentic Pakistani branded products. So if you are looking for something unique from pakistan come here to take a quick check - prices like usual are expensive.Overall a good experience. Glad there is a large store catering to the Muslim community. It can become a one stop shop since you are already there.

Good place to get Indian, Pakistani groceries in Ajax. Meats are so fresh compared to other similar shops. In summer they sell fresh sugar cane juice and tender coconut , if you feel thirsty , just try it , I did that . There are enough free parking spots.

Items are well organized. I enjoyed my first visit there due to variety of Middle Eastern and halal products with good offers.

Awful experience i have placed an order for my qurbani meat this was my first experience with iqbal and that turned out be very disappointing. Bad customer experience no one having audacity to give a proper explanation. Weightage of the meat that i got (goat= 6kgs only) how it can be 6kgs for one entire goat where is the rest of the meat??? Absurd behaviour disappointing experience with meat dep representative who hung up on me!

I am a big fan of the meat section. But for items with expiry date, we need to make sure the item is fine. I just bought bread yesterday and when opened the bag I see it has funguson it. Another day I saw a bottle of mustard oil (3L) that was expiring in a day. Just be mindful of the same.
