Hooper's Pharmacy & Vitamin Shop

This place really needs to work on their communication. They simply decided not to fill one of my prescriptions and I have no idea why nor did the pharmacy tech. When she attempted to put it through my private insurance she had no idea how to, despite Metro never having an issue with it. I guess this is why it wasn’t filled? Well, they never called me to tell me they weren’t sure on my insurance info nor did they leave a note on my file. They just... didn’t fill it. It’s absurd.They also compounded something that didn’t need to be compounded. I imagine this is so they can bill the government more? 150 mg of my medicine comes in pill form. That same script was supposed to have two compounded additional doses. They didn’t compound one of them without telling me.When contact was initially made with this pharmacy I had to call in to provide my OHIP info as well as my insurance. The prescription was called in by my doctor. The speaker on my phone was broken so my mother had to do it. I received a call from Hooper’s later that day but they didn’t leave a voicemail so I had no reason to think there was anything wrong. Well, it turns out my mother called the wrong number and they didn’t have my info. I only found out about 3-4 days later when they called again and I was able to answer (using Bluetooth over my car speakers).This hasn’t been a very positive experience at all. If I ever need something compounded again, I’ll be finding a different pharmacy.

Incredible service. Hoopers had a common drug that the big brand pharmacies were all inexplicably out of. This is our new family pharmacy!

We’ve lived a lot of places, but by far this is the best experience we’ve ever had at a pharmacy. They make everything so easy! It’s been our pharmacy for the past 9 years. So helpful and nice to deal with. We’re planning a move out of the beaches and are seriously considering keeping Hooper’s as our home pharmacy no matter where we go and how far we have to drive. Highly recommend!! Thanks for being so great Hooper’s staff :)

Fantastic. We were short on a pediatric compound antibiotic prescription we got on vacation. They called the original out of town pharmacy and arranged/mixed the missing dosage. Tremendously helpful and really reduced our stress!

I’ve always made an effort to support locally owned pharmacies, so when I moved to the neighbourhood in sep 2018 I was pleased there was such an establishment close to hand as I appreciate the customer service that I have come to associate with small businesses. I’ve been here on a couple of occasions and have left less than satisfied with the level of basic customer service I received. I’ve decided, after the most recent unsatisfactory exchange with the pharmacist, to take my business elsewhere.

Twice I've been stuck where Shopper's was unable to help fill a prescription and Hooper's has come through and with super friendly service on top. Making the switch to just come here first!

Excellent service and superb technical knowledge about bio identical hormones, ant excellent supplements, made in Canada not offshore, with staff that is knowledgeable about vitamins and herbs. They also have staff knowledgeable about training and bodybuilding needs. They also run occasional clinics on live blood testing, csnd other health topics.

The Pharmacy here is great - wonderful customer service, prompt responses to phone calls and pickups. They also sell a variety of organic, holistic products which is nice to see in a pharmacy, doesn't smell like chemicals and plastic when you walk in there!

Great variety of cruelty free and organic produce. Their vitamins from whole earth and sea vitamins are amazing, they really made a difference in my blood test results because they are coming from actual plants and veggies!

Hoopers and pharmacist Joe Hsu are absolutely the best anywhere.Joe and his team are always helpful, informed, friendly and reliable. They go out of their way to help and even when I am sick, I feel better knowing Jo and his team are behind me.
