Hôtel Champlain Vieux Québec

Absolutely gorgeous and GREAT price. Everything about this hotel was lovely. From the amazing staff, great morning coffee and old key experience, this hotel was charming and exceeded my expectations. My only regret was staying for 1 night!

We stayed here one night last week. Location is amazing! Room was fairly large and we had great views of Old Quebec. Bathroom was renovated although we had an issue with the shower that we told about at checkout. They hurried to fix it. The coffee machine at reception everyone’s talking about is real, and makes good coffee and hot chocolate. There’s a toasty little gas fireplace at the entrance. We had to reserve parking for extra and it was well worth it as we were able to walk everywhere on foot. It’s a little hotel, a bit older, but it’s decent and clean.

Great location. Walking distance to most sites. We stayed in a superior room which was really nice with a good view and a great bed. The sink in the bathroom was messed up and not draining well but not a deal breaker. Breakfast was a little lacking but better then nothing. Will stay here again next time we come for sure. Parking is pretty tight. Really only good for cars or compact SUVs.

Spent two nights here. Very close to most of the sightseeing spots. Short walk to many great restaurants. This hotel has a dozen parking spots on site. The parking is very very tight. Parking our small SUV was a challenge . A larger vehicle would be impossible. Make sure you reserve your spot in advance.

I booked this hotel directly with the hotel and was eligible for the daily cold breakfast. There was more than enough food for myself and my son to keep some aside for a snack later. The room itself was clean and came with a mini fridge, small table and chairs, arm chair, closet and tray for wet boots. Our room was ready early but the hotel was prepared to hold our luggage since we were arriving hours before check in. There is a coffe/hot chocolate machine in the foyer that makes great drinks. A mix of espresso and hot chocolate tastes just like a Cafe Mocha from a certain coffee chain!The best thing about this hotel was the staff. They were great with our early arrival and even better after we checked out. We had a late flight so planned on leaving our luggage for the day and picking it up before we headed to the airport. But the winter storm had other ideas and our flight was cancelled last minute. The staff let us stay in the bright breakfast room while I scrambled to find alternative arrangements to get home on Christmas eve. The young woman at the desk reassured me that if needed they had a room for that night.I recommend this hotel if you are looking for a simple, clean, quiet and convenient stay in Old Quebec.

Simple room/hotel in a great location.ACWhen we booked we specifically asked about parking and were told yes it was available to us, but when we got there we were told we had to park in a public parking lot a couple blocks away and pay 20$/day.The hotel is fine. Rooms are simple but fine for our purposes with AC and decorated with older pieces of furniture that fit the time period of the hotel.There is a breakfast available, for a fee (13-15$/person), but we could've to go elsewhere.Staff were great!Our bathroom sink didn't drain well at all, but I didn't report it, didn't want to get into all that since we weren't there for too long.

Out dated and bad service. 1st time ever in all my travels: if u don’t actively ask to get your room cleaned it wont be done….. and if ur too late discovering this, because they dont tell u at check in, they still wont do it. Unbelievable but true.

(+) Very clean and comfortable beds. Staff is very polite and welcoming. The staff also gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The free coffee, tea and hot beverages are definitely great.(-): Walls are thin, you can hear everything. Parking on premises is very small. Did not have a spot for us despite calling in advance. Good luck finding a close parking spot on the street

Very average hotel in old Quebec. The location is perfect but the rest is not great. I stayed for 3 nights but the room was not cleaned even once during my time. Disappointing
