YVR South Terminal Viewing Platform
First time to be there. Terminal is small but more calm than the big airport. Viewing area was amazing as the best spot to see the runway and flights takeoff and landing.

A bit of a hidden gem if you like plane watching. Nice lobby area, bathrooms and snacks. There is a raised viewing platform, too.

Great spot to watch departures from runway 26L with the north shore mountains as a backdrop. Too bad hangars block the view about a thousand feet down the runway.

You can find some aviation enthusiasts here with cameras set up. Brought my little one here and she absolutely loved it! Two bald eagles flew above us as well. It’s quite a neat experience.

Love the south terminal, so much more relaxed than the big YVR airport... everyone from the staff to the travelers are calmer and happier.When landing, if you need transportation home and want to use Uber, do so right away as you will need to call" one and wait for it as they do not usually sit at the airport like the cabs do."

What a great spot to enjoy the view and see the planes. The exhaust fumes are pretty strong but the breeze takes them away.

ALWAYS WANTED TO COME HERE, AND FINALY HAD TO PICK SOMEONE FROM THE AIRPORT. THEIR FLIGHT WAS DELYED SO I CHECKED THE PLATFORM OUT AND GOT A VIDEO IN! I WILL DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK. REALLY COOL SPOT!

YVR South Terminal Viewing Platform
Very small rugged terminal clean and cozy with a small restaurant with limited options. They sell Nanaimo bars!!! Also has a small souvenir shop with some travel essentials. Small airplanes arrive and depart from here I had a wonderful experience. I flew from Vancouver to Bella Coola on Pacific Coastal was an amazing flight. I love South terminal!

YVR South Terminal Viewing Platform
A great place to watch planes. You’re closest to the private jets but have a good view of the runway. Kind of hard to get here though, you’d probably need to drive and remember to turn off into the parking lot.
