Wya Point is absolutely beautiful. Campsites are very private and the views from each site are stunning. Being just a short walk to the gorgeous, secluded beach, your campsite is relaxing getaway. The private washrooms and showers are always fresh, clean, and well serviced. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and even delivered firewood directly to our campsite. The stay was a little pricey but well worth the money!

WORST CAMPING EVER !Prices are overshooted. Paid 150 for one night in tent ... after 4 km on a very bad gravel road with lots of BIG holes we never met anyone from the campsite hosts. Then no indication of what you should do. From there everything is just a surprise ... Showers are at the end of the yurts section. Your car will be 10 minutes parked from your tent. No close restroom. The staff does not maintain anything on the premises. We were clearly robbed by the team. BC or Canada parks are way better for their prices and staff much more present. They only count on first time discovering the region of Uclulet et Tofino. Noone is coming back read other comments and go somewhere else it is not worth your money. They should be closed for so many reason due to customer abuse.

Way Point is a place that I have stayed at in the past multiple times and unfortunately, this year will be the last. While booking this year’s trip for my family, there were multiple website errors when I went in to book the second (of two) sites that we needed for our family trip. There were 3 RV sites available at the time, including the one I was choosing. I received an error message saying I had to go back to choose another site. When I went back to book another and received another error message when choosing it. Going back again a second time, all the sites appeared to be booked so I was unable to book a site during my required dates. At this point, I already had a tent site booked for half the family and now could no longer get another site so I had to go in and choose other dates to book. Now we were left with a campsite we are unable to use and due to their completely absurd 50% cancellation policy and their system errors, we will now be out $291. I choose new dates and booked two new sites. Now we had three sites on two separate dates. This all happened within 15 minutes which seems crazy that they don’t have a full refund policy within a certain timeframe, or due to THEIR system issues. A half hour later I went back to look at our booking and decided to check on the sites on the first set of dates and ALL the sites that appeared available to begin, but then were “booked” when I went to choose them were all back to being available.I immediately contacted the Way Point to make them aware of the system errors and to hopefully get refunded due to this being a problem with their system and not the user. Once I eventually received a reply they were extremely unhelpful, had some of the worst service I’ve experienced, and stopped replying once I asked to cancel the first campsite. To make it worse, their campsite increased the pricing by $40 a night this year, making it $139 a night (and we need two sites) which is hands down the most expensive campsite we’ve ever stayed at. May as well rent a house on/near the beach in Tofino where you get a lot more for your money. We will not be returning after this years trip which we are now obligated to go to due to their horrific refund policy and will NOT recommended this campsite for friends or family anymore. Hopefully they figure out some new system and courteous, helpful staff.DO NOT BOOK if you receive any system issues or, if there’s ANY chance you may have to cancel. Also, the original dates we wanted were June 29 – July 3 but the site doesn’t allow you to book between July 1 – August 31 of less than four nights, even though it was four consecutive nights but two were at the end of June so we had to change our dates before I even began booking. To conclude, they do not offer a full refund from the moment you submit your payment, big system issues on their booking site, and they had horrible customer service which made it not worth it.* I never write reviews but this experience was bad enough that it should be known so future campers don’t get duped by them, their system issues, and their tragic cancellation policy.

We loved our stay here because we read others reviews. We had a beautiful spot beneath giant trees that was very private and surrounded on all sides by gorgeous banana slugs. The beach is perfect with amazing tide pools and rocks all in a pretty private cove.Helpful: the water you can not cook with or drink or even boil, bring water. You can shower but a young child can’t who might drink it. They have a dish wash station. Some spots are way better than others and you can’t change even if it’s wide open because you reserved already, many spots with a gorgeous beach view remained open for our entire stay, we tried to email the operators but never got a response, they are difficult to get ahold of. The camp hosts are a very nice couple who surf all day so you will see them later, they will deliver fire wood if you text them. The rocky drive in is not that bad at all and takes about seven minutes, the first time you will be slower then you will be fine, it’s not an inconvenience at all.

This place has so much potential due to its beautiful location and we had a lovely site with ocean view and beach access. We stayed 5 nights. However there were many things that added to basically a negative feeling overall (death by a thousand cuts) and I would not recommend this place or stay there again unless I had heard of major upgrades and changes.Note that the campsite was 150 a night! Plus a pet fee! With that price:- there is no potable drinking water - it can't even be boiled to make it drinkable - and you are supposed to wash your dishes with this high barium and manganese water.- walk in campsites (where you have to park and then bring in your gear with wheelbarrows) are about a 5-10 min walk from the flush toilets. The pit toilet close to these sites is out of order. They have installed porta-potties but they were so full the parking lot stank.- the flush toilets could be upgraded but the worst was that they ran out of water one morning and ran out of toilet paper another morning - the host was still in bed at 10.30 am both mornings and had to be told to fix the problem. As host, you would think your one job would be to ensure in the mornings and during the day and night that the toilets and supplies were in working order.- There was a campfire ban and we had prepaid for our firewood - we have yet to receive a refund for this despite the host telling use we would automatically get a refund through the let's camp website.- showers are a 10-15 min walk away up and down hills from the campsites because they are situated to be close to the yurts - they should consider making a path near the beach so it is easier to access. One of the showers had only cold water and no sign on the door to warn anyone.- Roads are in terrible condition should be graded.

I absolutely love Wya. We have come the last 6 years, either RV sites or the yurts. In that time ,prices have tripled, and service has become terrible. Wash rooms/showers for the yurts have become overrun by tenter users. Despite the signs saying for Yurt users only. It's $350 a night....shouldn't have to wait forever to use the washrooms. But what's honest is that the worst is the lack of communication. You can't book untill last minute and people need to be able to book holidays in advance. This is indigenous land and feel like it's become a cash cow for them. Wya has a special place for myself as my son and I have had 6 straight years of father son trips here...but looks like the streak is over without any service or replies. Location....10 Stars....service basically 0 stars.

I camped in my tent here for two nights and quite enjoyed it. Being so close to the beach and ocean was amazing, and being immersed in this beautiful forest was breathtaking. I started and ended each day with a walk across the beach. I had read some reviews before coming so felt prepared for what to expect (a brief walk-in to campsite, bring your own water, store food in a hard case/cooler in the bear-proof unit, drive slow coming in). I was most concerned about the road but had no problem with my FWD sports sedan—pretty typical road condition for anyone who's done even slightly backcountry hikes or camps and, to be honest, I've come across worse potholes on highways. I just went slow (as recommended) and it was not a problem at all. I only used the flush toilets, which weren't too much of a walk from my campsite. I brought my own toilet paper but didn't need to use it. I decided to bring my 70L backpacking pack for the little walk-in and was really happy with that approach as it saved me having to make multiple trips with the wheelbarrow. I moved all my stuff in with one quick walk (I'm a pretty minimalist camper even when front country camping though, so I realize this won't work for everyone). The beach has a bit of sand on the north-end but is mostly gravel so I found walking in ankle-high hiking boots the most comfortable for my feet... not quite what I expected but still beautiful. The price was a bit high but I booked really last minute and it was either this or something super cheap, less-private and on the highway... so I splurged. It seems most beach side campgrounds are a bit cheaper (still only 10-20% less cost) but I would have had to book so far in advance, which just wasn't doable in my situation. I hope the high price means they'll be able to continue to improve the experience (some hot showers near the campsites would be superb). In the end, it felt quite on par with the kind of minimal camping I'm used to. I was really happy and glad I booked such a lovely place to spend my time on the island.

I camped here in a tent. Private beach and ocean views were absolutely beautiful. It was a short drive from Ucluelet and my SUV had AWD so the gravel road in wasn't too bad, though I did need to take it slow. No staff were available to greet me, so I had to wander around a bit before I found my site and parking. There are lots of warning signs about the possibility of bears or other wild animals. I chose a campsite that was described as being next to the parking lot, yet it turns out there were two parking lots for the tent sites and my parking spot was up a hill. Very inconvenient and illogical, as this required me going back and forth to my car several times a day to load/unload my camp kitchen, food and toiletries. There were two porta-poties in the closest parking lot so if a quick bathroom break was needed it wasn't too far. I'd rate their cleanliness as fair. Staff did deliver a bag of firewood but it seemed like it hadn't been dried long enough because the wood didn't burn very well at all. As mentioned by others, there is no potable water. There was a comfort station up the hill with three flush toilets, two large sinks for washing kitchen items and two large garbage bins. No showers. Considering the price per night, the lack of basic amenities was a disappointment. Again, the private beach was beautiful and I loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves.

One of the best places to camp, hands down! We camped at this place for 4 days in early September. Place is about 2.5 hours from Nanaimo and once you’re there, you would still have to drive from the highway onto the parking lot. Once you arrive, all you’ll hear is the sound of the ocean. From the parking lot, it was about a 3 minute walk to our campsite. The price was absolutely reasonable, for $99/night per oceanside campsite. It’s worth it. They have strict guidelines on how you should put away anything that has a scent, just store everything in the food caches, if you follow the rules and be diligent, you should be good. Place is 10minutes away from Ucluelet. A great place for camping!
